That’s a wrap! That’s Good Dog done for 2025. 🎄 🎁

Thank you to all of our clients old and new, for another wonderful year surrounded by the very best furry pals. We are so very grateful for you, and cannot quite believe that we have been fortunate enough to do this for a whole decade now.

Once again, thank you for all of the well wishes, cards, gifts and tips we have received. The team and I are so very touched by your generosity.

Henry turns 1️⃣2️⃣ 🥹🥳

If you know Henry’s story, you’ll know that we weren’t sure we’d ever make this day. Henry has been through so much in his lifetime, and this now old boy is still just as magical to me as the first day I laid eyes on him. No one could have predicted the way the last 9 years would have played out but I can’t imagine a more perfect little soul to have shared this time with. I just wish I could freeze time now ♥️

Henry is very much my inspiration behind Good Dog, he’s the dog that really put the passion behind wanting to help other rescues have a second chance at life and my determination of helping owners through that journey, as well as offering services that were welfare focused. We put the dog’s wellbeing first, always.

Safe to say that he’s been throughly spoilt, homemade birthday cake and party hat included.

Welcome Dougie, the working Cocker Pup🐶

Dougie has joined us for our twice daily puppy visits service, and is doing fabulously. He’s now fully vaccinated so we’re starting to introduce little walks and get him out exploring the big wide world. We can’t wait for him to join us on our group walks for the proper adventures to begin! 🐾 🌲

A big Good Dog Welcome to Diego, the Bedlington x Whippet.

His wonderful owner got us on board with some get-to-know walks before moving home into our area so that he would be super settled during this stressful period (we love proactive owners ❤️)
As you can see, he’s already befriended many of our regulars including Gilbert and Maggie 🐾 We’re so enjoying getting to know this Magnificent dude!

I hope you won't mind my reaching out with a special request to our amazing Good Dog Community.

Last year, we were able to assemble three amazing hampers of prizes with help from various local dog-related businesses for Lyng Primary school’s first Christmas raffle. Thanks to everyone’s support, we raised over £1,000. The PTA is continuing to fundraise so they can install a new piece of playground equipment, which is quite costly—around £5,000.

I would like to ask if you or anyone you know, whether through your business or workplace, could donate a prize for the raffle. Any contribution, regardless of size, would be immensely appreciated for this small school.

Our Story

It all started back in 2015 when I found myself fast approaching the finish line of my BSc Animal Science and Welfare with a wealth of knowledge and passion. I was so determined to begin meaningful work within the industry I loved, but I found myself in the situation of having very few promising career options; I was either under experienced or over qualified. I was working part-time (retail), volunteering in a canine rehoming centre and began caring for friends and families pets whilst they went on holiday or away with work. This led to a few family friends asking me to help with their pets whilst they went on holiday - this then began to snowball!

I made a page for dog walking in my local area and through referrals and recommendations I started gaining my first ‘real’ clients - people who were willing to take a chance on me. With a lot of hard graft and many ups and downs, we can fast forward to present day.

We are now a fantastic team of 3, we pride ourselves on being animal welfare advocates and love all things animals - especially dogs. We’ve got incredible clients whom are like extended family and we’ve had some real success stories with helping rescue dogs gain confidence and settle into their new and improved lives. We are very proud of the work that we do, but we are so grateful that we get to hang out with our furry pals every day and call this our job!
