Cheshire Riding School is long established and started in 1999 and has been based at Brookhouse Equestrian Centre since 2005. The CRS ethos from day one has been to provide an enjoyable, friendly, safe leisure environment for its customers with excellent facilities and superb horses and ponies. ntryside. Undulating dry land, ancient woodland, stream, all weather farm ride, superb riding and livery facilities make Cheshire Riding School amazing for everyone to enjoy. Andrea and Ian first discovered Brookhouse farm, a former dairy farm, when we were looking to relocate from the original base at Arley. The farm was in a very run-down state when it was found and it has taken many years of effort and investment to create the centre we have now. We have previously displayed “before and after” pictures at open days and events of how the centre was created. Our superb team of staff are seeking to help us become the best riding school in the country. Cheshire Riding School has won a number of accolades already and is very highly regarded by the BHS, ABRS, Pony Club and other equine bodies. Cheshire Riding School is a BHS accredited exam centre up to and including level 4. We have been chosen as base for three BBC TV programmes, a channel 5 programme, a visit from ITV, won safety awards and many compliments from regulatory and licensing bodies on how well the yard is run and our horses are cared for. Half term round up! 🐴✨

We kick-started our half term with our Monday Pony Club Show — dressage and show jumping for all levels, with rosettes for everyone competing! 🏅 And a lovely 2hr strollers hack round the Cheshire country side🌾

On Tuesday, we headed out on not one, but TWO half term hacks around our fantastic farm ride! 🌿🐎

Wednesday saw the return of our always-popular show jumping day camp, where riders learned how to ride the best lines and set their horses up for success over the jumps! ✨

We then finished the week with our two-day non-residential camp — perfect for our younger riders, from those on the lead rein all the way through to riders cantering independently. Everyone worked hard to progress their ridden skills as well as learning more about horse care on the ground! 🐴💫

With all of these busy activities, we’ve still been running our usual lessons and hack schedule too! 🤩

⭐️Instructor (part or full time available) would suit ideally a BHSAI/stage 3 coach (would consider a stage 2 coach)⭐️

☀️ With the warm weather set to continue this week, we’d just like to remind all riders and visitors of some yard safety rules ☀️

🐴 When riding:
• No shorts or vest tops — legs and shoulders must be covered at all times
• Suitable riding footwear must be worn
•PPE to be worn as usual (hats/gloves/boots)

👟 Around the yard:
• No open-toed shoes, sandals, Crocs, sliders, etc. — this applies to both riders and spectators

💦 After your lesson:
• Please untack horses promptly and hose or sponge them off to help keep them cool and comfortable- Staff will be on hand to help if needed

These rules are in place for everyone’s safety and to help keep our horses happy in the warmer weather. Thank you for your cooperation and support 😊

A bit of fitness work in the sun ☀️🐴

Hill work is a great way to build strength – encouraging horses to engage their hind end and core while improving balance and overall fitness💪🏽

We’re lucky to have the space to include this in our routine, using it both under saddle and from the ground (like long reining) to help keep our horses strong alongside their regular physio🙌🏼

Safe to say the staff feel the workout too 😉
Birdsong, fresh air and happy horses… not a bad way to spend the day🥰
