🏇✨ Academy Player into Club Polo ✨🏇

We’re incredibly proud of Sephie, who recently made the transition from Academy polo into club tournament polo at just 10 years old.

Playing on her own pony, Luna, alongside two of our trusted Academy polo ponies, Sephie showed great determination, confidence and sportsmanship throughout the weekend. One of the standout moments was a strong ride-off on the Saturday against some very experienced club players, demonstrating just how much her skills and confidence have developed through her Academy training.

Not only did she hold her own on the field, but she also scored goals for her team, a fantastic achievement and a reward for all the hard work she continues to put into her polo.

Watching young players progress from learning the fundamentals in the Academy to competing successfully in club tournaments is exactly why we do what we do. Sephie continues to train hard, develop her riding and polo skills, and embrace every opportunity to learn and improve.

A huge congratulations to Sephie and Luna on a fantastic tournament. We can’t wait to see what comes next as they continue their polo journey together. 🐎🏆

🏇✨ Academy to Club Polo ✨🏇

The last weekend of May marked our first club tournament of the season, and we couldn’t be prouder to see Academy players Sharon Scott and Nicky Wilkinson taking to the field.

Both Sharon and Nicky continue to train regularly within the Academy, working hard to develop their riding, polo skills, game understanding and confidence. Watching them put that training into practice in a competitive club environment is exactly what the Academy pathway is all about.

Their commitment, enthusiasm and determination to keep improving have been fantastic to see, and it was a pleasure to have them representing J F Polo Academy on the Cheshire Polo Club fields.

This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to be taking more Academy players into club polo throughout the season, helping them gain valuable match experience and continue their development in the sport.

A huge well done to Sharon and Nicky on their progress so far—we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next! 🐎🏆

We’re incredibly proud to share that James has been shortlisted for Polo Coach of the Year 2026 🏆

From representing England as an Under-21 player, to building J F Polo Academy over the past 20 years, his focus has always been the same—making polo accessible, developing players of all levels, and supporting the wider polo community.

From Pony Club badge days and coaching beginners, to mentoring professionals, producing and sourcing horses, supporting smaller clubs, and helping grow the sport both in the UK and internationally—it’s been quite a journey.

None of this would be possible without the amazing clients, players, friends, and family who have been part of it along the way—so thank you.

🐇 Happy Easter 🐣

We had such a lovely day filled with smiles, Easter eggs and ponies. Our little polo players enjoyed a fun lesson, followed by an exciting Easter egg hunt 🐰🥚and hours of enjoyment on the new playground.

A perfect way to celebrate the start of the season 💛

Groom and HGV Driver Wanted

We are looking for an experienced equestrian to join our team and support junior staff with the day to day running of our livery yard and polo academy.

No polo grooming experience is required as we can teach it.

Job requirements include:
- HGV Licence
- Bringing in and tacking up
- Bandaging
- Equine first aid experience
- High standards of presentation
- Leading staff and following the diary
- Exercising easy academy ponies

Tuesday - Sunday hours required
Full time or part time available

Yard routine:
- Monday is catch up day (horses rest)
- Tuesday club chukkas
- Wednesday student training and chukkas
- Thursday club chukkas
- Friday academy chukkas
- Weekend lessons, tournaments and events

No Visas
No accommodation
Own horse negotiable
