Last week this lovely little black terrier came into us heavily pregnant. She was tired and looked older than her years. She’s been breed from repeatedly contributing to her older look.
A few days ago she gave birth to just one beautiful pup. Mum and pup are both doing so well.

Another fantastic group of people that go the extra mile to help us. Where truly overwhelmed with the support given, if you know us personally you know that we do not expect anything, never assume and always appreciate 🥰🥰

🐾❤️ A Wonderful Day at Long Buckby Junior School! ❤️🐾

On Friday, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Long Buckby Junior School with a few of our wonderful rescue dogs to meet the children, parents and fantastic school team.

We were invited along to talk about rescue dogs, share a little of what we do here at Midlands Dog Rescue, and hopefully help everyone understand a little more about the ongoing cause we fight so passionately for every single day. 🐶❤️

And what an amazing experience it was!

We can honestly say it was an absolute pleasure spending time with everyone involved. The children were impeccably behaved, incredibly welcoming, full of interest and so engaged in everything we had to say. A real credit to their families and the wonderful team at the school. ❤️

What made the day even more special was discovering that everyone had been busy collecting donations in the lead-up to our visit.

Just look at their incredible efforts! 🥹🐾

We were genuinely blown away by the kindness, generosity and thought that had gone into supporting our dogs.

For a small rescue like ours, gestures like this mean more than we can ever properly put into words. It’s not just about the donations, as wonderful and appreciated as they are. It’s about raising awareness, encouraging compassion and helping the next generation understand that every dog deserves kindness, patience and a chance at a better life.

To every child, parent and member of staff at Buckby Junior School, THANK YOU! ❤️

Thank you for your generosity, your enthusiasm, your beautiful manners and, most importantly, for allowing us and our dogs to share a little of your day.

You really are a wonderful bunch, and you’ve certainly made a difference to our rescue dogs.

From all of us at Midlands Dog Rescue, thank you so very much! 🐾❤️

🐾 Dandy
Name: Dandy
Age: 18 months
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
S*x: Female

Dandy is a beautiful 18-month-old Cocker Spaniel with the sweetest nature. She is a really lovely girl who is already showing us what a wonderful companion she could become.

Dandy has an adorable nature and is a gentle, affectionate girl. She absolutely enjoys her cuddles and loves being around her people.

She can be a little nervous when she first meets someone or finds herself in a new situation, but with patience, reassurance and time, she quickly begins to feel more comfortable.

Once she knows you, her lovely personality really starts to shine. ❤️

Dandy is family friendly and we feel she would make a wonderful addition to the right family.

As with any rescue dog, Dandy will need a little time to settle into her new surroundings and build confidence. Her new family should be prepared to give her the patience, kindness and reassurance she needs while she finds her feet. She has so much potential to become a wonderful family companion.

Cats: Not cat tested
Children: Family friendly
Dogs: To be assessed as part of her adoption process

Dandy is a young Cocker Spaniel and will need the usual combination of exercise, enrichment, training and mental stimulation that comes with the breed.

✔ Vaccinated
✔ Parasite treated
✔ Microchipped
✘ Still intact
✘ Not cat tested

Dandy is looking for a loving family who will give her the time and understanding she needs to settle and build confidence.

She may be a little nervous initially, but underneath that is a beautiful, affectionate girl who simply wants to feel safe and loved.

We think Dandy has all the makings of a very special companion. 🐾❤️

Sadly with no fault of Dori’s or the lovely home we found for her, due to a severe allergic reaction Dori is back with us and again looking for her forever home….

🐾💗 MEET DORY! 💗🐾

Say hello to our gorgeous little Dory, a 2/3-year-old Spitz cross with a BIG personality packed into a little body! 🥰🐶

Dory is a happy little soul, full of character and incredibly affectionate. She loves people and is always ready for some attention and cuddles. 💕

She’s friendly with other dogs, although she does have one very reasonable rule… please don’t trample her! 😂🐾 She’s not a fan of being squashed by the bigger dogs, but otherwise she’s a lovely girl who enjoys canine company.

Dory is such a sweet, characterful little dog and we’d love to find her a forever family who will adore her as much as we do. ❤️

🏡 Dory is ready to find her forever home!
