🎃 Trick or treat… but not all pets enjoy it as much as these two!

Here are five quick tips to keep them safe tonight:
🍫 Keep the sweet bowl out of reach. Chocolate, raisins and sugar-free sweets containing xylitol can all be toxic to dogs.
🚪 Create a calm space away from the front door. Constant knocking and costumed visitors can be really stressful.
🐾 Check ID tags and microchip details are up to date. Open doors make escapes more likely.
👻 Think twice about pet costumes. If they restrict movement, breathing or vision, or your pet seems uneasy, skip it.
🎆 Fireworks season starts now. Walk dogs before dark and keep cats indoors in the evening.

Pet professionals, what's your top Halloween tip for clients? Share it below.

Together, we're raising standards and keeping animals safe.

You don't have to know everything. You do have to care enough to keep learning.

Our members know this matters. Guidance changes, best practice develops, and the pet businesses that keep learning are the ones raising standards across the sector.

That's why we share regular sector updates and run Ask the Expert sessions, so there's always somewhere to turn when something changes or a question comes up.

Raising standards together.
