🐾 A day to honour working dogs such as guide dogs, police dogs and military dogs – thank you for everything you do! ❤️

And, of course, a day to celebrate all our furry friends who give us their unconditional love every day, without question. The endless joy and happiness they bring, brightening even our darkest days, truly knows no bounds. 🥰

🐾💛 MEET TOBY 💛🐾

💛 A big warm welcome to Toby, the newest pup to join Kerry’s K9s!

🐾 Toby is an 11-year-old (soon to be 12!) Lhasa Apso, making him a lovely senior boy.

🐶 Toby was originally booked in for a few walks a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side. We did manage to enjoy one short walk together before another heatwave hit, meaning we had to switch to drop-ins to keep Toby safe and comfortable.

💛 Despite his age, Toby still enjoys getting out for his walks at a nice leisurely pace, and when we're back home he enjoys playing with his toys.

🐾 I'm hoping to get to know Toby more and spend more time with this lovely little guy in the future.

🐾💛 MEET FERN 💛🐾

💛 Last week I had the pleasure of looking after the lovely Fern for two nights.

🐾 Fern is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever with a kind, sweet and loving nature. Her beautiful fox-red coat comes from her working-line breeding. Both of her parents were working dogs, and Fern even did some gun dog work when she was younger. These days, she's a much-loved and adored family pet.

🐶 During our time together, we enjoyed several walks along Fern's favourite routes. And every time I returned to the house, she greeted me with one of her favourite toys – in true Retriever style! 🧸

💛 Fern was an absolute pleasure to care for, and I hope to see her again in the future.

I’d just like to say a massive thank you to all my amazing clients for your understanding and patience this week. It really is greatly appreciated 💛

I don’t like having to cancel walks for your pups, but the extreme temperatures we experienced this week meant it wasn’t always safe for them to go ahead.

As always, your pups’ safety and welfare will always be my number one priority. Any walks that were cancelled or changed to drop-in visits were done with their best interests at heart 🐾

All invoices for next week have now been sent out. Any cancelled walks or visits that were changed to drop-ins have been adjusted accordingly, with credits applied where needed. I always aim to be as transparent and fair as possible 💛

I’m looking forward to getting back into our normal routine next week and can’t wait to see all my lovely doggies again soon 🐶
