2 of our team members, Izzy and Anna have taken up a new hobby this week in tandem cycling.

We are not entirely sure it’s a hobby that’s going to stick but they might crack out a few visits to their favourite local food establishments before retiring the bike to the back of the shed again!

If you need us this weekend remember we have our team at Bury working if you need them. Just call our normal number to be diverted through to them.

Greyson sadly suffered the fate of “happy tail” an unfortunate side effect of just being too happy about life and wagging that tail just a little bit too hard.

He was a big hit with the team, as was his lovely owner who kindly brought us lots of goodies to say thankyou for our care.

If you need us at all this bank holiday weekend our team at bury are there 8-4 Saturday, 9-12 Sunday and 9-12 Monday, with our on call vet and nurse at the end of the phone if you need help out of hours. Just phone our normal number and you’ll get connected straight though to bury.

Gorgeous Reggie has recently had BOAS surgery with us to help his airways and is now finding this hot weather much easier!

Clearly, he is not too traumatised by his experience. Here, he can be seen trying to break back into the practice via the side gate!

We do more than cuddle cute dogs as vets, nurses, and nursing assistants in the veterinary field.

We are your local surgeons, nurses, radiologists, oncologists, dentists, acupuncturists, internal medics, neurologists, phlebotomists, end of life guides, criticalists, emergency responders, ultrasonographers, paediatricians, gynaecologists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, preventative health care champions, anesthesiologists and 1000 other things.

But the fact we get to cuddle cute dogs is certainly a perk that, no matter how many years of experience we have, doesn't get old!

3 of this weeks lovely patients! Albie, Taco and Lola. Albie actually had enough photos to fill an entire album as he was clearly not camera shy.

Albie and Taco both came for their neutering procedures while Lola came for a dental and X-rays to check on the healing of her knees after her knee surgery a few months ago.

We love a pet shirt for post operative care to keep pets licking their wounds (so much so that they come in most of our post op bundles at no extra charge!). But there are a few instances where only a "cone of shame" will do. Keira, our lovely Needham Market Veterinary Centre RVN, obviously had one of those times. Maybe she had a grass seed in her pad? It is the season for it!

I'm pleased to say that when I saw her for handover this evening, she appears to have recovered well and has been allowed out of her buster collar!

Keira is on call this weekend at Bury with the rest of the team there. If you need us, don't hesitate to give us a ring!

Did you know, Ayla and Sophie both do accupuncture and electroaccupuncture at both Bury and Needham branches? It is a great additional pain relief, and has an antinflammatory effect for a whole plethora of conditions.

I've always though my little scruffbag and "orthopedically challenged" dog DJ would struggle with it. He isn't a fan of needles. And he is very clear about what he likes and dislikes!

Well. Today I was well and truly proven wrong! Turns put that even limping "landsharks" can be tamed, and he sat calm as a cucumber with Jessie I (who is his favourite - he's a sucker for a redhead it would appear) feeding him squeezy cheese and let Ayla put needles all over!! If I hadn't have seen how zen he was for this, I would have called you a liar!

Also, on the accupuncture party today, little Peggy came in for her electroaccupuncture and was also a little hero!! We sat in the room with the big windows and chilled with all the family whilst she had her treatment!

What little superstar terriers!

If you think your pet may benefit from these treatments, give us a ring and book in with either Soph or Ayla! Can 100% confirm, even "spicy" old terriers think it's a spa treatment!

Archie was in with us this week for a heart scan and then to have a very sore fractured tooth extracted! He was the absolute best boy for the whole thing and has enjoyed snoozing on his bed in-between cuddles this afternoon!

❓Did you know that both cats and dogs are incredibly good at hiding dental pain. Just becuase they are still eating doesn’t mean the pain isn’t there.

🐾 Often you don’t realise how much their problematic teeth were affecting them until they get a new lease of life post dental.

🐾 Our nurses provide free dental checks to help assess your pets mouths and advise on any dental treatment that may be required.

Today we heard that we have officially been accredited as a cat friendly clinic by ISFM.

This is an internationally recognised accreditation that shows our dedication to making vet visits for cats as stress free as possible.

Massive thankyou to our wonderful nurse Helen who compiled all the paperwork and evidence to submit our application.

Buster enjoyed his cuddles with Keira when he came in for a puppy check this week.

Storm is a regular visitor for her pesky ear issues but she’s never fussed and is always a gem to treat!
