Stowe Veterinary Group is an independent practice that has been providing a caring and professional service for all domestic pets, horses and farm animals for more than 50 years. The group comprises three large surgical practices – Stowe Veterinary Centre in Stowmarket, Moreto

n Hall Veterinary Centre in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich Veterinary Centre in Ipswich, as well as two smaller local practices, The Mustard Pot Veterinary Surgery in Needham Market and The Old Tea Room Veterinary Surgery in Elmswell. Our three larger surgeries stock a good range of pet products through our in-house shop Pets Place. We are proud to have high standards and do not compromise on these standards of care for the health and welfare of the pets we treat, under any circumstances. We are also proud to have remained independent of the national companies in order to maintain our core principles of being caring, friendly and reasonably priced, whilst providing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and surgery and preventative health care. Our team are animal lovers who are passionate about their work. We take pride in getting to know our clients and their pets and are always happy to give informal advice, either in person or over the telephone. The wellbeing of our patients is at the centre of what we do; this means we will treat your pets as if they were our own.

💧 Always ensure fresh water is available
🪟 Keep curtains closed to block direct sun
🧊 Try cooling mats or damp towels for lounging
🙅‍♀️ Never leave your cat in a parked car — even for a few minutes!

Handsome Sunny recently visited our branch surgery, The Mustard Pot, for his flea and worming check as well as his booster vaccination 🐾

He was such a good boy for vet Marco, and as soon as he arrived at reception, he made a beeline straight for the counter to let everyone know he was here… and, of course, to collect a well-earned treat 💛

Located right next to Needham Lakes, with a peaceful setting and enclosed garden, it’s designed to help dogs who find busy waiting rooms or meeting other dogs stressful.

Here, we take things at their pace — using toys, play, and gentle distraction to ease worries and build positive associations with visiting the vet. For dogs with more extreme fears, we also offer dedicated desensitisation appointments to help make each visit a little easier. 💕

We had a fantastic time at Suffolk Show last week, where we were visited by pet owners from across the county. The team loved meeting your pets and sharing animal advice.

The dogs enjoyed a refreshing dip in our paddling pool, while our younger visitors tested their steady hand on our operation game.

Tank recently visited our branch surgery, The Mustard Pot, for his vaccinations 🐾He was so excited to be here and made sure everyone knew it with plenty of cuddles and tail wags 💛✨ Tank greeted everyone in the waiting room and at reception like the true social butterfly he is! Little Panda, a Pomchi 🐾 (a Pomeranian x Chihuahua mix) recently visited us for his flea and worming check — and he was such a good boy from start to finish 💛

Little Boots, a 4-month-old Gerberian Shepsky (German Shepherd x Siberian Husky), came in with his brother Alfie for a weigh-in—and both boys were absolute stars 🐾 Boots behaved brilliantly, with Alfie right by his side being the perfect support.
