We are heartbroken to share the news of our beloved Bob passing away yesterday in the sunshine of his garden💔☀️

Losing a member of our daycare family is one of the hardest parts of what we do. These are always the posts we dread writing and no matter how many years pass, it never gets any easier saying goodbye. As heartbreaking as they are, every dog deserves to be remembered and celebrated for the joy, love and laughter they brought to so many lives. Bob’s life was truly worth celebrating, and we feel honoured to have been part of it.

Bob had been part of our daycare family since the beginning of 2020 and leaves behind countless memories that we will cherish forever.

Originally a street dog from Lanzarote, Bob’s journey was nothing short of inspiring. He welcomed and fostered some of our rescue dogs over the years, Million, Molly and most recently Jolene, helping them gain confidence and bringing them out of their shells with his calm, loving nature. He helped many others too while in daycare including our resident girl Elsie who became so fond of him and really helped in her journey getting her used to human touch!💜

His passing has come as such a shock to us all. Only last week Bob was here at daycare, happily playing with Jolene just as he always did, full of life and enjoying every moment. The speed at which he deteriorated makes the loss so much harder too especially for his parents💔

Everyone who knew Bob knew his famous jump-up greeting, whether he was excited to be going home or welcoming staff through the door each morning. No matter the day, he always arrived with a smile on his face, ready to play, make friends and spread happiness.

When Bob lost an eye, he adapted with remarkable resilience and never let it slow him down. His playful spirit, loving personality and zest for life remained as strong as ever.

He was adored by his owners, loved by our team and treasured by every dog who had the pleasure of spending time with him.

Bob was truly one in a million and daycare won’t be the same without him. Run free, beautiful boy with your daycare friends who will be waiting for you . Thank you for all the joy, love and laughter you brought into our lives. 🌈🐾

Our thoughts are with Anna and Sean while they begin to navigate life without Bob who really was their whole world. Forever in our hearts Bob💜🐾

This week’s Friday gallery is all about friendship 🐾💜

Friends that play together, friends that nap together, friends that eat together, sibling friends, different breeds becoming best pals and even the staff and dog friendships✨

Watching these friendships grow is one of the most special parts of daycare — because dogs don’t care what you look like, how big you are or where you come from… they just know how to love and belong🐾💜

Paddling pools are another great way to keep your pups cool! There’s so many types too, we have small ones, big ones, sprinkler ones, the list goes on!

For those who aren’t as keen, just try a little bit of water in at a time to get them used to it first. You can also try their favourite toys and treats in the water and encourage them to get them out! Lots of dogs love doing this as you can see in some of the photos📸💜
