As the weather warms up, grass seeds become much more common and can cause serious problems for dogs if they get trapped in paws, ears, eyes or skin.

Keep an eye out for excessive licking, head shaking, limping or any swelling and redness. If you suspect a grass seed may be causing an issue, contact your vet as soon as possible.

Just a little update from us

Some of you may already know the reason for our boarding services being put on hold for longer than expected, and I just wanted to briefly explain why without going into details.

Following our house move and settling into our new premises, I made the decision to temporarily pause boarding whilst ensuring everything was in place and fully ready moving forward. During this time there have obviously been dogs coming and going, as I am a dog groomer and I do have family and friends, Unfortunately Doris became pregnant unexpectedly which was completely unplanned and something that unfortunately we couldn't change, so had to deal with it and do the responsible thing. Which I'm pretty sure we did.

For some reason, there were people who weren't happy with this and we have been working with the council since November last year to clear up any misunderstandings and to prove our love for the dogs. I must say they have been brilliant and I feel we have kept that good relationship.

There have been lots of improvements behind the scenes, paperwork updates, policies, training and making sure everything is exactly where I want it to be for both the dogs and their owners, and ourselves going forward.

It has honestly been a challenging and emotional few months at times and not being able to do the part of my job I love has been difficult. Caring for dogs has always been more than work to me — it is a huge part of my life.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has continued supporting me, checking in, using grooming services, walking services and drop ins and being patient whilst everything has been worked through.

I’m looking forward to moving forward positively and welcoming our lovely dogs back for adventures, cuddles and home-from-home care ❤️🐾

It may only be 2 stars but this is because they have done it as a new application for new business at a new premises. I am so happy with this though, and I am sure we will be 5 ⭐ again before you know it 🙏🏼😘
