Calling all young farm vets! We’re launching a New Graduate Farm Vet Exchange Programme to give you the opportunity to spend time at another farm practice to develop your knowledge, skills and experience.

Launched this Spring, it’s the only programme of its type in the veterinary sector and will run throughout the year.

The programme will operate within all 12 of our farm practices in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Each CVS farm graduate vet will be able to go on an exchange in their second year of the programme and every placement will last up to two weeks.

The subject matter of each exchange will be bespoke and graduate vet-led, rather than following a specific programme. This will mean you have the freedom to explore your own areas of interest.

To join the programme we’ve created a dedicated page on our Knowledge Hub online platform. It features more information about the exchanges, outlines possible exchange learning outcomes, and includes an ‘expression of interest’ form. You’ll then be connected with the practice you’ve opted to visit, so that you can be booked in!
