Pole work isn’t just for ridden sessions! ✨

Working in-hand over raised walk poles is a great way to help horses develop better balance, coordination, and core strength while encouraging them to lift through their back and engage their hindquarters. It’s also a useful exercise for rehabilitation, young horses learning body awareness, or horses returning to work.
By keeping the work slow and controlled from the ground, we can really focus on correct movement, straightness, and relaxation without the added weight of a rider.

A simple exercise with big benefits for strength, mobility, and overall way of going. 🐎

I have been quite on here lately!

I’ve been focusing on my university commitments and making sure I’m giving that the time and energy it needs with fast approaching exams.
It’s been a busy period balancing studies alongside preparing Cassie for HOYs again this year!

The good news is that there are some really exciting things in the pipeline, and I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things very soon with new ideas, projects, and opportunities ahead. Including looking and preparing for my masters degree in vet physio 😱

Thanks for the continued support — it means a lot and there’s plenty more to come.

Don’t we all just love a colour changing horse 🤩

Cassie has gone from this chestnut bay to a lovely dark bay after clipping.

Her skin and coat feel and look so silky all due to a good scrub 🛁 lots of grooming and hot oiling after clipping! 🦄
