🍫Obi’s Brave Battle with Chocolate Muffins🍫
Meet Obi, a miniature poodle cross with a heart as big as his curiosity. Obi's inquisitive nature led him to a tempting box of muffins. Unfortunately these muffins contained chocolate—an ingredient highly toxic to dogs🐩
Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine, substances that dogs metabolize slowly, making them susceptible to poisoning. Even small amounts can lead to symptoms like vomiting, restlessness, rapid heart rate, and in severe cases, seizures or death .
Upon realizing Obi had indulged the Muffins, his family acted swiftly and brought him into the vets. They induced vomiting to expel the chocolate from his system and administered activated charcoal to absorb any remaining toxins 🩺
Thanks to his owners prompt action and Obi's resilient spirit, he made a full recovery. His story serves as a reminder to keep chocolate and other toxic foods out of reach and to act quickly if a pet ingests something harmful.🍫🧁
