💙💛 FUN AGILITY : NEW 5-WEEK COURSE! 🐾

Fancy trying something new with your dog?

Our next 5-week Fun Agility Course starts Sunday 13th September at 4pm at Chelsfield Equestrian Centre.

And when I say fun agility, I mean exactly that! This isn’t about having the fastest dog, perfect handling or competing. It doesn’t matter what breed, shape or size your dog is. It’s about getting out together, having a go, learning something new and, most importantly, having FUN. 🐶

We’ll introduce the dogs to jumps, tunnels and different agility equipment, while naturally working on confidence, focus, listening around distractions and that connection between you and your dog.

We have indoor AND outdoor facilities, so the British weather doesn’t get to spoil our plans! ☔️☀️

💛 Not sure if agility is for your dog?
I’m also offering the first session as a £15 trial. Come along, see what your dog thinks and if they love it, you can continue with the course. If it’s not their thing, that’s absolutely fine too.

Our next Pawsitive Dog Services Agility Group starts Sunday 6th September at 4pm at Chelsfield Equestrian Centre.

Our agility classes are all about FUN, confidence and connection. 🐶❤️ This isn’t competition or performance agility, it’s a relaxed, supportive environment where you and your dog can learn new skills, build confidence and simply enjoy doing something together.

Across the 5 weeks we’ll introduce your dog to jumps, tunnels and agility equipment, while also working on focus, engagement, listening around distractions and strengthening that all-important connection between you and your dog.

Give your puppy the best possible start with our fun, friendly and supportive five-week Puppy Class, using positive reinforcement to build confidence, calm behaviour and essential everyday skills.

We’ll work on important skills including focus, recall, loose-lead walking, settling, impulse control and polite interactions—all within a small and supportive class.

🐶 Optional Puppy Social Lab

Continue straight after class with an additional 30-minute session designed to develop calm, carefully managed social skills and confidence around other puppies.

🐾 A Lesson I’ve Learnt as a Dog Trainer 🐾

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt as a dog trainer is that every single dog is an individual.

When I first trained, I learnt the science of how dogs learn, how emotions influence behaviour and the importance of building trust and communication. That knowledge has shaped the trainer I am today.

But experience has taught me something just as valuable…

The dog in front of you should always be your biggest teacher.

Some dogs need confidence building. Some need clear boundaries. Some need time. Some need structure. Others need a completely different approach because of their history, genetics or the challenges they face.

There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to behaviour.

As trainers, our responsibility is to keep learning, stay open-minded and always ask ourselves, “What does this dog need from me?”

For me, it’s never about proving a training method is right or wrong. It’s about helping the dog in front of me in the fairest, kindest and most effective way I can.

Every successful outcome looks different because every dog is different.

Training has never been just a job to me. It’s something I genuinely live and breathe. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of dogs and their families, and every single one has taught me something new. No matter how much experience I gain, I still believe every day is a chance to learn, grow and become a better trainer.

The more I learn, the more I realise that great dog training is about being willing to adapt, listen and put the dog’s welfare above our own opinions.

Sadly, life isn’t always straightforward, and neither are the dogs we meet. But that’s exactly why we never stop learning.

Because every dog deserves the chance to succeed. ❤️🐾

🐾 A Lesson I’ve Learnt as a Dog Trainer 🐾

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt as a dog trainer is that every single dog is an individual.

When I first trained, I learnt the science of how dogs learn, how emotions influence behaviour and the importance of building trust and communication. That knowledge has shaped the trainer I am today.
