Woof Wickham Welcome to Woof Wickham! I am a professional Dog trainer/ walker based in West Wickham. I am an accredited Dog Assessor for Pets as Therapy.

I specialise in training Labradors, helping with basic obedience, lead walking and minor behavioural problems. My name is Becky, and I am a professional dog walker and trainer covering the West Wickham, Hayes and Bromley areas. My Approach -

I believe that every dog is unique and therefore is important that every walk/ training session is specially designed to fit their breed, personality and needs. I use only positive, force-free methods and aim to provide a fun, friendly service that dogs and owners will both love. About me -

I have been working with dogs for 9 years and have a real passion for looking after our furry friends. I have 5 qualifications in dog behaviour and training as well as a certificate in pet first aid. I currently volunteer as an accredited dog assessor for Pets as Therapy and as a puppy/ dog trainer and instructor at Spring Park Dog Training School. I have a mischievous yellow Labrador called Yvie who is my best friend and handy four-legged assistant. When she's not trying to raid the bins or chase squirrels, she is always on hand to pose for photos or help me try out new training ideas.

When starting this kind of training, it's helpful to bring a toy or chew to amuse your dog and prevent them from jumping up at the table or scavenging for scraps. A blanket can help create a comfortable space and provide a familiar scent in a strange environment. Don't forget to relax and just enjoy spending time with your four-legged friend!

Traffic desensitisation training in West Wickham with Jester the yellow Labrador. Getting puppies used to the sights, sounds and smells in busy public areas is essential for helping them develop into confident dogs. Remember to keep sessions short to begin with (so they don't get overwhelmed) and give them plenty of praise and encouragement.

Golspie the fox red Labrador enjoyed a change of environment during her training session. Although the woods were very distracting with lots of interesting smells and other dogs, she stayed focused and did some great heelwork and recalls.

Jester the Labrador showed off his good looks and good behaviour in the 'Handsome Hound' class at the Friends of Blake Park, Village Day, fun dog show. He may not of won anything, but it was the perfect opportunity to practice his obedience training in a very noisy and crowded environment. Well done Jester!

When your dog becomes teenager it can be pretty tough. They don't listen, run off and destroy your house and garden.
Don't panic!
Persevere with obedience training, dog proof your house and walk your dog in quieter places to reduce the chances of distraction. The teenage phase will soon pass and you will come out the other side with a sociable, well behaved adult dog you can be proud of.

Jester the Labrador proving he's a natural swimmer at Canine Dip and Dive Sevenoaks. It was a bit chilly but he loved it and I can't wait to book him in for his next lesson!
