🐰 Double trouble... well, almost! 🐰

Freddie came to see us for his vaccination appointment, and he brought along his best friend Popsy for moral support. 💕

While Freddie was busy being brave, Popsy decided that the safest place to be was hidden away in the carrier where nobody could see her! 👀🙈

Did you know that rabbits are social animals and often feel more comfortable when they have a bonded companion with them? Having a familiar friend nearby can help reduce stress during vet visits and other new experiences.

Freddie passed his health check with flying colours and is now up to date with his vaccinations, while Popsy's contribution was providing emotional support from the shadows. We think she did an excellent job! 💖

Cheeky Bam 🐾💙

Bam came to see us after his owners noticed a lump on his hind leg.

To investigate further, we performed an FNA (fine needle aspirate) — a simple procedure where we collect a small sample of cells from the lump to examine under the microscope.

Sadly, the results confirmed it was a mast cell tumour (MCT), a type of skin tumour commonly seen in dogs. Because of the location of the lump, we decided the best option for Bam was a targeted injection treatment rather than surgery.

It’s been a long journey over the past couple of months, but we’re so pleased to say the area has healed beautifully and Bam is now back to being his cheeky, happy self again 🐶✨

This adorable little kitten has been enjoying lots of cuddles with our head nurse Sian in our cat-friendly kennel room 🐾✨

Safe to say he made himself VERY comfortable during his stay… including redecorating his bedding to his own specifications 😹 (swipe to see his handiwork!)

We can provide all the cosy blankets in the world, but kittens like Oreo still like to remind us who’s really in charge 💙

Winston the happy Sprocker came in to see us for a health check after his owners noticed a small concern at home.

Thankfully, after a full examination, everything appeared completely normal and Winston was his usual cheerful self 💙🐾

Sometimes the things we notice with our pets can turn out to be harmless — but it’s always worth getting them checked. Subtle changes in behaviour, lumps, skin changes, limping, or anything that seems ‘not quite right’ can occasionally be an early sign of an underlying problem.

We’d always rather see pets early and provide reassurance where we can 🩺✨

🐱 Sweet little Sundae came in for her post-op check after her spay surgery — and just look at that adorable ducky surgical suit! 🦆💛

Spaying is an important procedure that helps prevent unwanted pregnancies and can provide several long-term health benefits, including reducing the risk of certain infections and cancers later in life.

After surgery, keeping cats calm and preventing them from licking their wound is really important for healing. Surgical suits can be a great alternative to the traditional plastic cone, helping patients stay comfortable while protecting the incision site.

Sundae was recovering beautifully at her check-up and was an absolute superstar throughout! 🌟🐾

We hope she’s enjoying lots of cuddles and treats at home while she recovers. 💕

Little Penny came to see us after developing lameness in one of her hind legs 🐾

Following an examination and X-rays, she was diagnosed with a medial patella luxation — where the kneecap slips out of place.

Penny underwent corrective surgery with the visiting orthopaedic vet from RATA, including a sulcoplasty and tibial crest transposition, and she’s now recovering beautifully 💛

These two gorgeous Dobermans recently visited us for a consult and were absolute gentle giants throughout — so friendly and well behaved! 🐶🐶

As today is Spring Bank Holiday, we wanted to share a few reminders to help keep your pets safe while everyone enjoys the day ☀️🌿

🌼 Seasonal hazards to watch out for:
• BBQ foods and cooked bones
• Chocolate and alcohol
• Toxic plants and flowers
• Heatstroke during warmer weather

🐕 If you’re heading out with your dog today:
• Bring plenty of fresh water
• Avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day
• Check pavements aren’t too hot for paws
• Ensure pets are microchipped and wearing ID tags

🏡 Bank Holidays can also mean busy homes, visitors, and changes in routine, so remember to give pets a quiet space to relax if they need it.

🐱 Meet Oscar 💙

Oscar the gorgeous Ragdoll came in to see us for his vaccinations and health check — and he was an absolute superstar! ⭐

Vaccinations are an important part of keeping our feline friends healthy and protected from serious infectious diseases. Even indoor cats can be at risk, as viruses can sometimes be brought into the home on clothing, shoes, or through contact with other animals.

At your cat’s annual vaccination appointment, we also carry out a full health check, giving us a chance to monitor weight, teeth, coat condition, heart health, and discuss any concerns you may have.

Oscar was very brave and definitely deserved plenty of treats afterwards! 🐾
