Introducing the BA Canine Citizen Programme ⭐

I am thrilled to launch our new 4-Level Dog Training Programme, guiding you and your dog on a focused journey from basic skills to real-world reliability. Our goal is to help you build a confident, well-behaved companion ready for any situation.

Programme Details

Our small-group classes run on Saturdays between 9 AM and 1 PM, with the exact time slot depending on your dog's grade level. The fortnightly schedule is designed to fit your busy life and give you plenty of time to practice.

You'll progress through four levels, each with a final assessment. To move up, your dog must pass the exam, demonstrating their skills with only verbal praise and no external motivators like food or toys.

To ensure you feel supported, each level has a private WhatsApp group where you can share videos and get answers to your questions. The ultimate goal is to achieve the BA Canine Citizen Award.

Starting date for classes is Saturday 11th October.
*Classes will be paid as you go with terms and conditions*

The first exam date is Saturday 6th December.
*Exam fee must be paid 1 month prior to the exam date*

Looking for a dedicated space to train and bond with your dog? Our private field hire offers a secure and focused environment for you and your dog to train without distractions.

For just £30 per hour, you will have exclusive access to our fully-equipped training field. Unlike a typical hire, your session includes dedicated one-on-one guidance, ensuring you get the most out of your time with us.

You can use the session to:

Gain hands-on experience with our canine treadmill.
Practice drive and focus with our lure machine. (Notice required)
Work on specific obedience challenges with expert guidance.
Enjoy enrichment and focused play in a safe space.

Available weekdays from 2 PM.

BA Canine Club: A Monthly Training & Social Event

Join us for our monthly training and social event designed for owners who are committed to their dog's fitness and well-being. Our club offers a unique opportunity to practice with specialized equipment in the company of like-minded owners and trainers.

This is a focused, hands-on session where you'll have the freedom to work with your dog at your own pace. The event will feature a range of stations and equipment for you to practice:

Treadmill sessions for conditioning
Lure Machine to build drive and focus
Spring Pole for strength work (currently in development)
Tire Pulling for conditioning and endurance
Focused Obedience practice

Event Details:
Date: 1 Sunday of every month (TBC)
Time: 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Price: £20 per dog

Event Protocol

As this is an open-format session, please be aware that you will be fully responsible for supervising your dog at all times. We ask that you treat all equipment with care and ensure it is returned to its original place after use. This helps us keep the field safe and ready for everyone.

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new and improved training programmes, designed to help you build a brilliant and lasting partnership with your dog.

To ensure the best possible results and create meaningful, long-term change, we are now exclusively offering structured programmes. We will no longer be providing single 1:1 sessions, as our goal is to partner with dedicated owners who are ready to invest in their dog's future.

Our New Programmes

🐕 Puppy Programme:Laying the groundwork for a confident, well-behaved companion.
🐕‍🦺Walk with Me: Master loose-lead walking and make every outing a pleasure.
😌Unlocking Calm: Transforming Reactive Dogs: A focused approach to helping reactive dogs feel safe and relaxed.
❗Boot Camp for Brilliant: A comprehensive programme to elevate your dog's obedience and skills.

These programmes are for owners who are committed to making a real difference and are willing to put in the effort to help their dog live its best life.

Booking & Support

💰Each programme can be paid for in full or with a deposit upfront, followed by a payment plan with installments between sessions. Please note that all programmes are non-refundable.

🕜Sessions will be planned in advance once your initial payment or deposit has been received.

🐾Ongoing Support: You will receive 24-hour WhatsApp support throughout your programme.

We need your amazing canine companions to help us locate some lost Kongs amidst the farm's charming disarray. You've got the dogs, and we've got the missing items – sounds like a perfect match!

What to Expect;

This day is designed to be both fun and rewarding, tailored to your preference:

Your Choice: You can arrive just for your designated search slot, or you're welcome to stay the entire day, watch other talented dogs and handlers in action, and soak in the atmosphere.
Tailored Experience: Whether you're looking for a lighthearted activity or a serious challenge, this trial will be taken as seriously as you, the client, wants it to be.

Refreshments: Snacks and water will be available on the day to keep everyone hydrated and energized.

The Challenge

Your dog's incredible nose will be put to the test across three categories:

Beginner Trial: Dogs will be searching for chunks of Kong.

Intermediate Trial: The challenge steps up with a Kong piece hidden in a tin.

Advanced Trial: The ultimate test – finding a tiny Kong piece in a vial.

The quickest dog to successfully find all the hidden Kongs in their respective category will be crowned the winner!

Fancy Dress Fun!

Embrace the theme! We're holding a special fancy dress competition for the "Best Farmer." Our favorite judge, Sprout, will be on hand to pick the most authentically messy and wonderfully scruffy farmer.

BA CANINE CHARITY WALK 🐕 🥾

Myself and a few clients will be doing a sponsored charity walk on SATURDAY 5TH APRIL from my training field, Hightown to Southport prom.

This walk is approx 13.2 miles and all dogs will be ONLEAD for the entire walk.

The raised funds will go to okanines!

What Okanines do?

The current epidemic of dogs in need of homes is worsening, with limited space at rescues leaving many dogs stuck in stressful kennel environments. Unfortunately, this often leads to behavioral issues that go unaddressed, causing dogs to remain in shelters for years before finding a new home. Recognizing the need for change, we decided to do things differently.

Our experienced team of dog trainers works with owners who can no longer care for their dogs. We take in these dogs, address their behavioral challenges, and find them loving new homes. We offer flexible options, such as Foster and Train or Residential Rehome, to ensure each dog receives the best chance for success.

This service provides peace of mind to owners, knowing their beloved dog is being set up for a happy, fulfilling life rather than languishing in a stressful shelter environment.

Shiloh ❤️

“I loved you for your whole life and I’ll miss you for the rest of mine”

Everyone who met Shiloh, loved her. She lived by her own rules and had her own special vibe.

We don’t know where the illness came from, but we do know she was comfortable and around us when she took that last breath early hours, just after midnight 03/04/2024

She’s my best mate and forever will be.
