Our Mission is to be the go-to Doggy Day Care, Training and Behaviour Centre in Liverpool & Merseyside.

Our aim is to make sure your dog is happy and healthy and thoroughly enjoys their time at Precious Paws. There are several choices of environment for your dog at Precious Paws Doggy Day Care Liverpool, and we ensure that groups are small and that all dogs have a choice of where they want to play and rest. Our facilities are self contained within a small and very friendly light industrial park, clo

se to all the major transport links – rail, motorway and airport. We have specifically designed and developed the unit to provide the perfect environment for optimising the experiences for dogs. The indoor arena is approximately 1200 sqf and consists of a sleep zone for rest, relaxation and music therapy. Large play area with toys and play equipment, and not forgetting specially allocated areas for puppies and older dogs. Our outdoor arena is over 5000sqf, which is divided into a play arena, agility arena, and has sandpits, a pool (in the summer) and a number of areas for your dogs to choose to spend their time. We believe that our facilities are second to none, and will ensure that your dog has fun in a safe and expertly constructed environment.

And just like that… another daycare week is done! 💜

So many happy faces today — tongues out, tails wagging and absolutely no concern whatsoever for how photogenic they’re being. 😂📸

Our youngsters Bella and Bertie popped in for their nursery sessions too. 🥰 These shorter, specially designed sessions are all about supporting socialisation, building confidence, learning those all-important doggy manners and discovering that daycare isn’t just about going FULL SPEED for 1 or 2 hours! 🤣

Play ➡️ pause ➡️ calm ➡️ play again.
It’s a skill… although some of our crew remain firmly committed to the “play forever” approach. 😂🐶

The rest of the Friday family had a brilliant time catching up with their mates, playing, sniffing, exploring and generally making the most of their last daycare session of the week. 💜

And while the daycare crew put their paws up for the weekend… apparently we don’t. 🤣

☔️🐾 COUPLES DAY AT PRECIOUS PAWS! 🐾☔️

Well, we’ve had some very cute couples hanging out today… 👀😂

We’re not saying romance is in the air at daycare… but there’s definitely been some serious flirting going on! 😂🐶❤️

After all that sunshine recently, the cool coats have officially been swapped for raincoats 🌧️🤣 But a bit of classic British weather was never going to stop this lot!

Plenty of fun inside AND out, lots of play, lots of friendships and some absolutely amazing group shots today. 📸🐾

And because those perfect photos can make it look like we simply say “everyone look at the camera!” and they politely oblige… we’ve included a little behind-the-scenes shot too. 😂😂

The reality: staff making ridiculous noises, waving treats, calling names and doing pretty much anything necessary to get everyone looking in roughly the same direction at the same time! 🤣📸🐶
But when you get THE SHOT… totally worth it! 🙌❤️

🐾✨ Wonderful Wednesday at doggy daycare! ✨🐾

What a bonkers morning we had! 🤪💨 Non-stop zoomies, wrestles and plenty of chaos! Boo & Nova were having the best sisterly fun, while Annabelle & Mabes picked up exactly where they left off last week 😂💗 Annie & Leo were also busy having a little flirt! 👀🐶

And Theo was busy showing us his best bouncer pose 💪🏻😂 — keeping an eye on all the madness!

After all that craziness, the afternoon was much more chilled with plenty of chew toys, relaxing and making the most of the sunshine ☀️🦴😴

🐾 Crazy Tuesday at doggy daycare! 🐾

What a day! 😂 Lots of fun, madness and plenty of playing from the Tuesday gang!

Eddie & Romeo were on one again 🤣 and the Nellie’s were certainly giving them a run for their money! King Louie spent most of the day demanding his bum rubs 😂 while Enzo was happily on the wind-up as usual!

After a crazy morning, the afternoon was all about chilling out and relaxing once the sun came out ☀️🐶 Lots of happy, sleepy pups enjoying some downtime.

We see a waggy tail and automatically think… happy dog 🐶💜

But dogs aren’t quite that simple.

A wagging tail can mean excitement and happiness, but it can also be a sign of uncertainty, stress, frustration or heightened arousal. It’s just one small part of a much bigger conversation our dogs are having with us.

That’s why we always look at the whole dog. 🐾

A loose, wiggly body tells us something very different from a dog who is wagging but standing stiffly, shifting their weight backwards, avoiding eye contact or becoming intensely focused.

And then there’s the most important bit — context. What’s happening around the dog? Who or what are they responding to? Do they have the choice to move away?

Learning to notice these little details can completely change how we understand our dogs. 💜

The earlier we recognise when a dog is becoming uncomfortable, the sooner we can support them — rather than waiting for them to have to shout a little louder.

So next time you see that tail wagging, don’t just watch the tail…

🐾💚 Sometimes the best walks aren’t the longest ones… 💚🐾

We all do it — head out with the dog, phone in our hand, thinking about the million and one things we need to get done! 📱😅

But for our dogs, their walk is one of the best parts of their day. 🐶❤️

So every now and again, put the phone away, slow things down and just enjoy being out together. 🌳🐾

👀 Watch your dog and their body language.
👃 Let them stop and have a really good sniff.
🐕 They don’t need to say hello to every dog they meet.
↔️ Cross the road or create space if they need it.
💚 Praise and reward those lovely calm choices.
And don’t worry about how far you’ve walked!

Sometimes 30 minutes of sniffing, exploring and enjoying the world together can be far more valuable than marching around trying to clock up the miles. 🐾🌿

Most importantly, be your dog’s advocate. If they’re telling you they’re uncomfortable, listen to them and help them out. ❤️

Next walk, try leaving the distractions behind and really enjoy that time together.

🐶💚 Walk WITH your dog, not just your dog.

Better walks, stronger bonds and happier dogs. 🐾🥰

NOT SAFE. NOT OKAY. 🐾

A really important reminder for every dog owner…
If your dog doesn’t have reliable recall, please keep them on a lead or long line.

It doesn’t matter if they’re friendly. The dog they’re running towards may not be.

They may be nervous or reactive.
They may be recovering from surgery or injury.
They may be elderly or in pain.
They may be in training.
Or they may simply not want another dog in their space.

And that is absolutely okay.
One of the most difficult situations for an owner working hard with a nervous or reactive dog is seeing an off-lead dog racing towards them while hearing:

“Don’t worry, he’s friendly!”
Your dog being friendly doesn’t make the interaction safe or wanted.

Recall isn’t just about getting your dog back eventually. Reliable recall means your dog responds when it matters — including when another dog, person or distraction is more exciting than you.

Until you have that reliability, a long line gives your dog freedom while allowing you to maintain control.
Responsible dog ownership means respecting other dogs and their owners, giving them space and never assuming every dog wants to say hello.
Your dog’s freedom should never come at the expense of another dog’s safety or wellbeing. 💜🐾

Friday again! 🐾💜 And another busy one at Precious Paws!

We had three of our youngsters in for short nursery sessions today. These sessions are such an important part of preparing young dogs for daycare — time away from their parents, learning appropriate dog manners, building confidence and introducing training in a safe, controlled environment.

Keeping sessions short for youngsters under one is crucial, supporting both their physical and behavioural development without overwhelming them.

🐶 Bertie Beagle made great progress today, learning to manage those high arousal levels and developing better doggy manners. He was also a HUGE fan of the Sniffari today — the fox scent was definitely his favourite! 🦊👃

🐶 Bella came on so much with her confidence. With the right handling, patience and carefully managed exposure, great results really are possible. 💜
🐶 And little Ralphie had his very first session and did brilliantly, playing really nicely and beginning his daycare journey.

The Sniffari was a big hit with the whole gang today, with lots of noses working overtime! 🌿👃
Meanwhile, our usual Friday crowd — minus a few lucky pups off on their holidays — had a fantastic day of play, enrichment, friendships and plenty of all-important downtime too.

Another week done and lots of happy pups heading home. 🐾

🌧️🐾 Wet but happy Thursday! 🐾🌧️

The rain didn’t stop us having a brilliant day! There was plenty of madness, especially from Dyl and Romeo, while little Eddie and Henry spent the morning winding each other up 😂

Big Jett was loving life and showing off his zoomies, before the afternoon turned into a serious game of “how many dogs can we fit on the chair?” 😂🐶

The rest of the afternoon was nice and cosy with lots of snuggles on the beds and chairs, mixed in with a few games of “go find!” 🐾❤️

🌦️ Wednesday at doggy daycare! 🐾

What a day of changing weather, but that didn’t stop our gang having a brilliant time! 🐶💨

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Joey! 🎂🥳 And thank you for the lovely birthday biscuits from PupcakesbyNed- Michelle — the dogs absolutely loved them! 🦴❤️

The morning was a crazy one, especially for Mabes and Annabelle, who were having the BEST time! 😂🐾

Maud found the perfect spot on the bridge to soak up some sunshine ☀️, keeping well away from the madness with her favourite chew toy! 😂🦴

Doug also found the perfect spot for an afternoon nap in the chair 😴🪑, while the rest of the gang enjoyed a quieter afternoon with some sniffari time and plenty of cosy beds for a snooze.

A busy, fun-filled Wednesday for our gang! Hope everyone has had a lovely day! ❤️🐾
