Not Just Collective

Not Just Collective Creative collective based in the North West of England. Not Just is an arts collective based in the north west of England.

Our members include poets, musicians, storytellers and visual artists. Originally formed by volunteers at the 2012 Liverpool Biennial festival, our first exhibition opened in January 2013 at Domino Gallery. Since then the collective has evolved to welcome new members and collaborators for exhibitions across the region. Alongside gallery shows, we have occupied less traditional spaces, including a

community garden, a terraced house, and the Williamson Tunnels. If you’d like to work with us, please get in touch!

A big thanks to the mighty Laura Mc for taking about my work. Five is a group show and I’m really proud to be in this current exhibition with some amazing artists like Paul Gatenby and Natalie Gilmore, Alun, Sophie and Roger.

It’s always odd to see the thing that was in your head go through sketchbook and into real outcomes. It’s even more odd when other people notice it and are kind enough to write about it.

Kirkby Gallery in Knowsley is presenting FIVE, an exhibition showcasing the work of five unique and exciting fine art painters from across the Liverpool city region.

All done!
Yesterday we took down our show Where Joy Resides. We've had an absolutely fantastic time at the Rock Mill Centre and want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who makes it such a special place. Thank you also to everyone who visited since we opened in June, and for all your lovely comments.
We'll share some more photos of the work that was on show over the next few days.
Image: Page from a visitor book with handwritten comments. The first one says, "Samaritans is fabulous should have entered it in the R.A. - £500 is far too cheap - good stuff" and is signed Dem or Den. Underneath another comment says, "Got here at last. What a treat to see this fine exhibition" signed Caroline T (and BS)

A reminder that our show at Rock Mill Centre has been extended til 19th August, so you have a few more weeks to catch us there. Make sure to stop for some of their excellent coffee and cakes when you visit!

Note: the Rock Mill Centre is used for a range of community activities, because of this you may find when you visit that the doors to some of the rooms are shut, and the TVs have been turned off. Please just ask the volunteers to open up/switch them back on and they will be more than happy to assist!
