Hi everyone!
π’This change hasn't come without a lot of thought. However, receiving a huge volume of messages and calls all through the weekend means I don't get a chance to switch off.
Because I'm so emotionally driven by my job, I can easily see myself prioritizing things that can actually wait until the weekdays, when I really need to be focusing on self-care for myself and spending time with my own pets.
To ensure I can bring my absolute best energy and focus to caring for your animals, I am introducing set admin and communication hours for this phone line.
πΎ My New Admin & Communication Hours:
Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM β 7:00 PM (Please note: I still do late visits and physical pet care outside of these hours, but this is when the phone line is actively open for chats!)
Weekends: The phone will be off, but I will check messages for 30 minutes every morning and evening strictly to send updates for pet sit or weekend walking customers, log cancellations for the upcoming week and note down extra requests.β°
Weekday Replies & Updates:Please note that itβs not always possible for me to message everyone back during my peak walking and training hours (we often don't take a lunch to make sure everyone gets the times they need). To ensure the dogs get my full attention, I tend to do the bulk of my message replies in the mornings and early evenings! Early evenings are always the best for booking calls with me.
If you would like an update on your pup during the day, I can happily pop a quick photo and message across right after our walk/visit, and then follow up with a much better, detailed update later in the day.π
Exceptions:Hours will naturally extend if we have a scheduled training session or an Adventure Day running!
π Weekend Diary Changes & Booking Slots:Please note that I will not be actively rearranging the diary or booking slots on Saturdays or Sundays. I do the full diary every Friday afternoon to make sure everyone fits in perfectly. When the schedule is full, it can take me a good 20 minutes just to rearrange slots for a single dog, so I will get onto a dedicated hour of adjustments and extra bookings on Monday morning. All weekend requests will be safely stored and updated then!Where possible, we are asking for you to book ad-hoc slots 7 days in advance. However, where you need a last-minute ad-hoc booking, we will always do our very best to accommodate you.
What this means for you:You are still more than welcome to send your messages at absolutely any time that is convenient for you! Much better for us all as you don't need to be concerned about messages late at night if that suits you better!
