HELP US BEAT DOG THEFT!
As there has been a substantial rise in dog thefts, there has also been a rise in community concern. This page is meant as a hub for all of Wigan and surrounding areas.
So please when sharing posts about potential and actual dog thefts on your person profiles please consider contacting us as well so we can share it to even more people. The more people that our posts get to the more of a chance we have at lowering the numbers of dog thefts.
As well as this the meaningful data such as this will enable us to identify patterns and map out high risk areas, providing more vital information for dog owners in our local areas.

Just a quick update about the upcoming lockdown
I will continue to work and await any further guidelines from dog walkers societies and my insurance which will likely be released Wednesday /Friday
I will keep you updated as soon as I know anything

This has been the hardest posts to write
People who follow the page will have seen that a lovely Pitbull named Juchi joined me for walks
Well I am deeply saddened to tell you that yesterday he passed away
I would just like to say

'Dont cry because it's over... smile because it happened'

Even though I didn’t know you very long Thank you for letting me be part of your life, thank you for brightening up our days and joining us on some amazing Adventures. You have made a massive impact on me and I know you will be watching over me and Red on our walks together

Everybody meet Juchi and red two gorgeous legalised pit bulls, I have completely fell in love with them both and they are both big softies looking forward to all our walks together

If you see a dog with a 🎗 YELLOW 🎗 ribbon, bandana or similar on the leash or on the dog, this is a dog which needs some space.

Please, don't approach this dog or its people with your dog. They're indicating their dog can't be close to other dogs.

How close is too close?
Only the dog or his people know, so pop your dog on leash (if they aren't already), maintain distance, and give the yellow dog time to move or consider taking a different route.

There are many reasons why a dog may need space. It may:

🐾 have health issues

🐾 be a rescue dog being rehabilitated. The world can be a very scary place for these dogs.

🐾 have had a bad experience with another dog or is just not like the kind of friendly dogs which always want to say "Hi!"

🐾 be a bitch may be in heat

🐾 be in training

🐾 be very old and arthritic

🐾 be nervous or shy and other dogs cause it stress

In short, a yellow marker on a dog means it needs some space 😊💛
