Some great results for clients yesterday at SNEC and it’s always lovely to receive messages like this ⬇️

“We went to ponyclub show jumping today, a couple of wee hitches but they both did amazing and even got a cheeky wee first. Thank you for teaching Brooke over the last few weeks, her riding has improved so much, and thank you for working with Hugo with Brooke and when we were away. Minimal whip use today and her riding and control was amazing x”

Top job Brooke and Hugo 🥇

Susannah and Poko also had a brilliant clear in the 70 qualifier and picked up 5th !

This week was also full of ponies on holiday livery and what fun we had 😅
A group hack last weekend followed by a mix of schooling and hacking through the week for them all, then lessons with their own riders yesterday 👩‍🏫
Ready for a new week and new horses !

Yesterday saw 3yo Aurora heading home after being backed and ridden away. She’s shown a lovely attitude right from the start of the process all the way to confidently trotting under saddle both in the arena and out hacking.

It’s always a pleasure to have returning clients, and Aurora is the third horse her owners have sent to me. I’m grateful for their continued trust and delighted to have been given the opportunity to start Aurora’s ridden career 🙌

What a busy week we’ve had here this week but every horse has been fantastic 🌟
Gary finishing it off today with his first canter under saddle and what better way to do it than straight across the middle of an open field 🙈 he was perfectly behaved, accompanied by sales livery Colin. It’s great to have one in that I know is 100% safe to take out with the young ones and give them the best lead possible and Colin certainly did that !
Video below just catching the end of Gary’s first canter and then walking back past all the cows.

Absolutely delighted with 3yo Aurora’s progress. Video below of her first time heading along the road and back to the yard, this was also the first time she’s had nobody leading her. We took it slow with her to get on board, which has definitely been worth it when you see how relaxed she is now 🙌🥰

4yo ‘Hanleen Bellstar’ showing what a fantastic young horse she is today at the horsescotland coaches assembly 🌟
Totally chilled in front of an audience and her first time seeing a grid, she popped through like an old pro, completely balanced and straight👌 A very exciting future ahead for her !

Aurora finishing up in the arena and wandering back to the stables after her first time on the long reins. She’s been a model student in her first week here, looking forward to continuing her education🌟
