We would just like to say a huge THANKYOU to everyone that visited the store yesterday for one of our craziest days of 2026. Lots of reptiles and birds finding new homes, advice given and lots of animals with new accessories and food

From 10am when we opened it was bonkers through to the closing at 5.30

Now for a 2 day refresh and we’ll see you on Tuesday with a big refill of the shop and some new products to share

Here’s one of 2 pink tongue skinks we have in store right now. This is a prove female and we have one unsexed juvenile. They’re a semi arboreal skink species that primarily feed on snails and snail meat - both available in store

One of our favourite species of millipedes we get is the ever popular rainbows. A medium size pede that do well in a tank kept in the mid 20s with a nice deep substrate of beetle bed and leaf litter.

So after our tree monitor left last Tuesday we had to decide who went into one of the display enclosures so it only seemed fair that our longest resident macklotts python had a new viv to live in. She seems to be absolutely loving it, basking and exploring the whole enclosure. Those 🌈🌈 irridescence that comes through is out of this world and that was before I sprayed the tank down

Enclosure size 4x5x2 with quadruple heat system alongside uv and led all run by an EVO 3 thermostat, meaning we never have to touch the heating from day to night time as it’s all automatic. So easy and reliable

🐢🐢REHOME TORTOISE🐢🐢

Everyone meet Simon who is a horsfields tortoise looking for a new home. He came in a few weeks back due to no fault of his own. He did have a very overgrown beak but this has now been filed back to the best we can do it. He’s a very active tortoise so will require a large enclosure at least 6ft (which we keep in stock if required, or bigger by special order) and access to a secure outdoor space during the good spring and summer months. He’s been smashing through his foraged weeds we pick and grow

Rehome fee applies to help cover costs of us being able to help these animals when needed

Please note we require proof of setup for any animal leaving us including minimum sizes and correct heating and lighting. We also stock equipment and setups in store if needed
