β˜€οΈπŸΆ Hot Weather Reminder – Keeping Your Dog Safe on Their Way to the Salon πŸΆβ˜€οΈ

With temperatures rising, I’d like to remind all my lovely clients to take extra care when bringing their dogs for their grooming appointments.

🌑️ Cars can become dangerously hot within minutes, even with windows slightly open. Please ensure your vehicle is cool before travelling and never leave your dog unattended in the car.

πŸ’§ Make sure your dog has access to fresh water before setting off and consider bringing water with you for longer journeys.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ If walking to the salon, remember that pavements can become extremely hot and may burn sensitive paw pads. A good rule is to place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds – if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog.

❄️ Keep travel times as short as possible and use air conditioning where available. If your dog shows signs of heat stress, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or difficulty breathing, please seek veterinary advice immediately.

βœ‚οΈ I have a new Air-con system and I’m doing everything I can to keep the salon cool and comfortable, ensuring your dogs stay safe and relaxed during their groom.
