Proud Moment at The Grooming Experiment! 🏆

I’m absolutely thrilled with my girls for their amazing results in the online competition and so proud to have achieved placements in the Intermediate classes

🥈 2nd Place Pure Breed Intermediate
With my 11-month-old Show Cocker Spaniel puppy, Petal ❤️
Hand-stripped and I couldn’t be prouder of her calm attitude and the progress we made. She behaved so well for her age and took everything in her stride.

🥉 3rd Place Asian Style Intermediate
With my Bichon Frise, Cassie 💖
Her transformation was such a creative challenge with asymmetric head, coloured ear and tail, and my very first scissored heart shape on her back. A fun and artistic groom that the judges really appreciated

As coats grow, they don’t just get longer - they change.
Hair begins to knot, movement causes friction, and small tangles can quickly tighten into matting, especially in high-friction areas like behind the ears, under the legs, and around the collar.

When grooming is delayed, coats often need more time, more intervention, and can feel uncomfortable for the dog, even if they seem fine at home.

Regular grooming helps us:
• keep the coat manageable and healthy
• spot changes in skin or coat early
• reduce pulling and discomfort during brushing
• keep the experience calm and familiar for your dog

It’s about comfort, consistency, and long-term coat health.

If you’re unsure how often your dog needs grooming, I’m always happy to talk it through and find a routine that works for you and your dog.

First puppy cuts are not about the perfect final look ✂️🐶
They are about helping puppies feel safe, comfortable, happy, and getting them used to the grooming process slowly and positively 💛

Teddy is 7 months old and this was his very first groom 🐾
Before his appointment, he came for a little meet & greet the week before so he could explore my van, get to know me, and feel more relaxed. As he hadn’t had a puppy introduction before, I felt this was really important for him.

I explained to his parents that I wouldn’t put any pressure on him or promise a full groom on the first visit. The goal was simply to do as much as Teddy felt comfortable with and create a positive experience for him ❤️

At the same time, his family were struggling to keep his long coat knot free at home, so I wanted to help make things more manageable and comfortable for him too.

Everything was introduced slowly, with lots of patience, praise, little breaks, and plenty of treats in between 🍪🐾

I’m so proud of Teddy, he did amazingly well! We managed to clip his body and give his face a quick tidy up, and he already looks so grown up 🥹💛

His transformation honestly made my day 🐩🤍

I love that big baby boy, he was so good 😊

I always listen to the owner and ask questions about their dog’s lifestyle and activities so I can plan the best haircut that truly suits them.

Monty is a really active boy who loves walking in the forest and getting dirty, so he definitely enjoys life to the fullest 🐾

His haircut had to be short and practical, but still cute with a classic poodle head and stylish top knot of course ❤️

He needed a proper deep clean, so I bathed him twice — first with a detox shampoo and then with Artero Blanc to bring his coat back to life. Finished with a detox mask to moisturise and keep him fresh for longer.

I also used Artero spray conditioner while brushing, which I always recommend to my clients for an easier, healthier finish ✨

Monty was an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to see him again 🐩🤍

Been waiting for that glow up for a long time… and here we have it 😍✨

I love to play with grooming — it’s not only my job, it’s my passion ❤️
Even after work I still enjoy creating new styles and trying different looks ✂️🐶

Here is my bichon Cassie. She was waiting a long time for this glow up and growing her hair for a completely new haircut ✨

This groom was also part of a grooming experiment for an online dog grooming competition and I really enjoyed every moment of it 🫶
Now we are waiting for the results 😉

If anyone wants a fancy haircut or a little summer glow up for their pup, I’m always open for it 😁☀️

PSA for all Dog owners.. Matting doesn’t just happen overnight.

It can build up because of:
• Weather (rain & damp coats = tangles)
• Friction from harnesses & collars
• Longer coat lengths
• Curly or mixed textures
• Movement (especially legs & armpits)
• Brushing - but not brushing all the way to the skin

These aren’t your fault and you’re not doing anything wrong.. But even the fluffiest, best-behaved pups can knot quickly.

That’s why I offer Bath & Tidy appointments ✨
These are perfect in between full grooms to:
• Remove knots before they turn into matting
• Keep the coat manageable
• Maintain shape & hygiene areas
