Great news as both open teams and foundation team are drawn to race on Saturday 3rd May at Naseby.
With ring party we are involved in all divisions so going to be a busy day.
But it will be great to be racing on the grass again. 🎾🎾🎾

The Seedtime Challenge saw ten team dogs racing in a knockout competition this evening.

Congratulations to the winners Saffron handled by Karen and Runners-up Bodie and Kerry. In an exciting final the first race was a dead heat as both were 0.03 from seed times. Saffi then went on to win the re-run.

A number of dogs set new PB’s;
Bracken did a super fast 3.81
Saffi 3.98
Skye 4.33
Mabel 4.38
Venom 4.36
Ollie 4.28
Bodie 4.12 on his birthday.

Thanks to Daniel, AJ and Poppy for box loading and helping with box jumps etc.

I’m sure we will do it again in the Summer/Autumn.

Reminder to competition dog handlers we will be holding the club knockout competition this Thursday 13th.
Please arrive on time and don’t bring dogs in until I have had time to explain the rules and do the draw.
Format enables any speed dog to win you just need to be consistent.

Happy New Year.
Thanks to everyone who turned out on a cold evening to resume our training in 2025.
Good work from Monty, Venom and Margot in the early session with all making great progress. Thanks to Kate AJ and Andrew who ran the early session.
We had eight dogs in the second session plus Venom had some team crossover practice too. In one lane Mabel, Saffron and Ollie got some practice in for Ryton with Brianna making up the team. In the other lane we had Linux, Molly, Bodie and Roman.
Thanks to Kate, Andrew, AJ, Daniel, Poppy, Nick and Ken for helping in the sessions this evening.
Thankfully roads were fine and it wasn’t too cold.

Happy New Year to all our members and four legged friends.Training resumes next Thursday 9th January.

Kiddy Minors travelled up to Warrington today for the BFA Flyball show hosted by Finesse. The journey up was difficult with Storm Bert doing his stuff. However we all made it safely to take our place in division 2. The team consisted of Brianna, Lucy, Molly, Saffi and Skye who all ran well considering we had not run indoors since February, in fact this was Saffi’s first indoor experience.

Starting as 5th seeds we raced some very good teams and finished a very creditable 4th at the conclusion of racing. Thanks to Daniel who put in a faultless performance as box loader and also thanks to our friends at Live Wires who helped us in the ring.

That’s our final competition for this year. See you all in the lanes in 2025.

Due to the recent snow and the expected temperatures at the training venue this evening to not go above zero we think it’s best if we cancel training for this evening. This is to ensure those in the second session don’t have to drive in potentially treacherous conditions through the lanes from the venue.

I know those running on Sunday will be disappointed not to get a few more training miles but it’s for the best. See you on Sunday.

Stay safe everyone and keep you and your dogs nice and warm.

Heads up to those going to the Flyball show in Warrington on Sunday. They will be doing the Crufts qualifier between the morning and afternoon sessions which we can watch. However C4 will be recording the qualifier so if you’re uncomfortable with that you will have to miss that part of the action. If that’s a problem drop Stuart a note or call him.
See you on Sunday.
