With temperatures rising, please remember that the heat can be dangerous for dogs. If it feels hot to you, it’s even hotter for them.

🐶 Top tips for keeping dogs safe in warm weather:
• Avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day
• Never walk dogs on hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
• Make sure they always have access to fresh, cool water
• Provide shade and cool places to rest
• Watch for signs of heatstroke such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, or vomiting

Early morning or late evening walks are safest during hot weather. Sometimes the best thing you can do is skip the walk altogether and keep them cool at home. ❤️
