On the 14th September Cornstraw K9 Dog Training will be at the family fun day at East Carlton park.

Dog show, Long & Short retrieve and Scurry, chances to just have a go! Gundog Demonstration at 12pm too!

All classes are open to all breeds (not just gundogs) Fun for everyone on the day!

I'll be there with my Lab, and there will be vouchers up for grabs from us too! Hope to see as many faces as possible! And 4 legs as possible. It will be a great day! 🌟

Highly recommend Cornstraw K9 Dog Training. New puppy class starting, definitely worth trying it out, great bonding time with your pup!

Dog Grooming Desborough

Good morning everyone, I don't like writing "negative" posts and I shouldn't have to reiterate this however there are a couple of things I need to remind everyone about bringing their dogs to us.

1. In the current heatwave that's going on please can I remind people if it is hot 🔥 do not walk your dogs to and from their appointment. If you cannot get them to us by an alternative means, please call me so we can see where we can help or reschedule. If your dog is already hot and worked up before it gets through the door they will be turned away again. I have made an effort to move as many appointments as I can to morning and evening to prevent having to bring your dogs out in the midday sun.

2. If your dog is ill/sick/injured ect. Please do not bring your dog to their appointment. (This includes infections or skin issues that haven't been seen by a vet) Many pet illnesses are contagious.

3. Please do not ask me to shave your Labrador, Husky, Boarder collie ect. (There are a hundred reasons why it's a terrible idea to shave dogs with these coat types) Just know shaving all the hair off will not make them cooler.

I've removed, lots of ticks and grass seeds this week, one was a seed very close to causing some serious issues to a dog's paw.

Please check your dogs after every walk, comb your dogs coat especially their legs to check for any hidden passengers 🪲

Reminder that if you are late for your appointment. We have the right to refuse the groom. We understand things happen and you are welcome to rebook. Note we have to work our times out carefully. Especially when working with dogs, crossing over appointments can cause a lot of unnecessary chaos not only for the dogs but for us too. Please be polite about this. We have this policy in place to make sure everything runs smoothly through the day and every dog gets the time it needs.
