Podgy Paws is a unique pet shop offering food, treats and accessories for all pets. In particular we specialise in the 'Outdoor Dog'. A large selection of waterproof jackets, backpacks, boots, collars, leads, harnesses, dog carriers, toys etc. Bring your dog in for a fitting by our friendly staff! Stockists of quality brands such as Hurtta, Ruffwear, DOG Copenhagen, K9 Sport Sack, Ezydog, Hunter,

Wolters, Red Dingo and many more. Possibly one of the largest ranges of dog products you will find under one roof to touch, try on and compare! Come in and introduce yourself to Buddy, our rescue Daniff (Great Dane x English Mastiff), who likes to keep his eye on things! We are open 7 days a week. We would love to post pictures of our customers dogs on our Facebook and Instagram pages. You can also now SHOP ONLINE at www.podgypaws.co.uk. We don't have all our stock listed online so if you can't see what you want, please email us at [email protected] and we'll endeavour to help. If you need any advice before ordering via our online shop, please feel free to email us at [email protected] or ring us at our online unit on 017687 85407. Our website also includes a 'Dog Friendly Information Centre' which lists lots of useful information for visiting the Keswick area with your dog, such as dog friendly accommodation, pubs, cafes, transport, shops, kennels, vets & attractions. We also list a small selection of suggested walks, but remember - Keswick is THE place for a vast variety of dog walks delivering fantastic views at every corner. If you are coming to the area on holiday and would like to avoid the bulk and hassle of bringing your pet food with you, please ring the shop prior to your visit to order in advance and it shall be here waiting for you on your arrival. We also stock frozen meat for those feeding a raw food diet. We currently stock Natural Instinct and Nature's Menu in frozen meats and treats. Do you have a dog that can't walk too far? Perhaps because they are old, very young or have a condition. You may then benefit from hiring Dougie the Buggy! Our off road dog pram. Billy had a fab day yesterday & would like us to recommend his walk to you.

Take the bus to Grasmere (£3)
From the village walk up Far Easedale Gill and over the tops onto Greenup edge. Walk over Lining Crag then following Greenup Gill and all the way down to Rosthwaite. Bus then back to Keswick (or Mary Mount if you fancy a quick 🍺)

Fabulous walk with very well maintained footpaths (will be good even in wet weather). Not a bad afternoon out for £6!
