Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a service I offer and it’s a fantastic way to help maintain your dog’s oral health. However, it’s important to note that not all dogs are suitable candidates for this treatment. I’ve included some photos to help explain why.
Dogs with light plaque build-up are ideal for ultrasonic cleaning, as this can be safely and effectively removed. However, if a dog has heavy plaque, signs of gum disease, cavities at the gum line, loose or wobbly teeth, or such severe build-up that the condition of the teeth underneath can’t be assessed, then a visit to your vet is essential for a full dental examination and treatment.
Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a great preventative option to help keep your dog’s mouth healthy and reduce future plaque build-up. I also stock a range of dental care products and am always happy to offer advice, along with a free teeth check, to help you choose what’s best for your dog.
