Polo💙

This lovely lil guy came to us for a femoral head and neck excission with our orthopeadic department🦴

He stole everyone's heart, he was the cutest bean and regardless what needed done, he just wanted a snuggle🥰

We are glad to report a full recovery and doing well at home, causing mischief like he should🐾

Finn💙

Finn is modelling his doggy sun glasses very well here with a gorgeous back drop☀️

He has a condition called 'Chronic superficial keratitis (CKS)' which is a lifelong condition effecting the eyes that will need to be managed throughout Finn's life👀

The condition means that dogs will develop corneal pigmentation lesions that can be seen as areas of red/brown/grey discolouration.

The "Rex Specs", like our sunglasses, protect his eyes from the bright light or UV light, which can worsen the condition quicker.

We think Finn suits is goggles regardless of the reason why he wears them😎

P.S his nose is green from the stain we use in their eyes!

Some of you may have read about the use of electrochemotherapy to treat a python from Chester zoo 🐍

Well it certainly caught our attention and we loved reading about Jodie's case👀

As far as we know, here at Scottish Vet Referrals, we are the only practice currently that can offer electrochemotherapy in Scotland💉 With our Internal Medicine and Oncologist, Simon Bate💙

Although we have yet to treat a snake! We've only tackled dogs and cats tumours so far!🐾

Electrochemotherapy is a minimally invasive way to precisely target some tumours to achieve a highly effective outcome💙
