We’re expecting some hot weather this week. If it feels warm to you, it’s even hotter for your dog.

Skipping a walk is always the safer choice when it’s too hot. No dog has ever been harmed by missing one, but heatstroke can be deadly.

Find out how to spot the signs and keep your dog safe with our vet-approved guide: https://www.pethealthclub.com/uk/pet-advice/heat-stroke-in-dogs

A member of the public brought in a young kitten found near Muirfield Road. She’s a fluffy, tortoiseshell female, around 4–5 months old, and unfortunately not microchipped.

Since there’s no chip, we haven’t been able to contact her owner. She has now been returned to the area where she was found, and the kind lady who found her will also be reaching out to Cat's Protection on Monday.

If you believe this could be your cat, please get in touch!

🐾 Puppy Love Overload! 🐾

We had 9 absolutely adorable Labrador puppies in yesterday for their first vaccines and microchips—and let’s just say, the clinic was overflowing with wiggly tails and playful energy! 💛🐶

These little bundles of joy were all snuggles, zoomies, and kisses. Our vet Hailey completely fell in love with them (honestly, who wouldn’t?).

They're off to a great start in life—healthy, happy, and ready to charm everyone they meet! ✨💉🐾

⚠️ Tick season is here – time to check your dog. Ticks love to hide in warm, hard-to-spot places. After every walk, give your dog a once-over, and pay extra attention to their ears, armpits, and between their toes.

Did you know even a small amount of raisins (or grapes) can be dangerous for dogs?

They can cause kidney failure, so it’s important to act fast if your dog eats any.

🚨 What to do if your dog eats raisins or grapes:

✔️Call your vet immediately. Don’t wait for symptoms
✔️If you can, tell them how much they’ve eaten

Signs of raisin poisoning include vomiting, lethargy, and loss of appetite. Even if your dog seems fine, seek
veterinary advice.

Easter is a time for family, fun, and delicious treats – but it's also a time to be extra careful with what your pets can get into. Many of the foods and decorations we love during Easter can be toxic to our furry friends! Keep your pets safe by being aware of these common hazards.

🛑 Pro Tip: Keep Easter baskets, food, and decorations out of your pets’ reach and consider offering them pet-safe treats instead!

Let's make sure our furry friends stay safe this Easter! 🐾💕

🐾 Ginger and her four adorable puppies came in last month for their 1st vaccinations and microchipping! 🐶💉

Ginger was such a good mum, keeping a close eye on her pups while they were all checked over. 🧡🐕 Of course, the staff snuck in plenty of cuddles—who could resist those faces?

Microchipping is a vital part of responsible pet ownership. It gives your pet the best chance of being reunited with you if they ever go missing. 🏡
Remember to always keep your contact details up to date on the microchip database!

Such a sweet little family! 😍

**WARNING - GRAPHIC IMAGES**

Our sweet boy Smeagol recently had to have his tail amputated, and while it was a big decision, it was absolutely the right one for his health and comfort. We’re endlessly grateful to Erin, who handled everything with such incredible care, skill, and kindness. The surgery went beautifully, and we’re beyond relieved and happy to say that Smeagol is doing absolutely fantastic! 🎉

We’ve shared a few photos—before, during, and after—to show just how strong and resilient our little guy is. From the lead-up, to surgery day, to his cozy recovery, Smeagol has taken it all in stride.

Huge thanks again to Erin for helping our boy feel better and bounce back so quickly! We couldn’t have asked for better care. 💛
