I was contacted by the owners of this beautiful girl regarding her lunging at passing traffic, recall under distraction (when other dogs are present) & lack of focus on them.
They had tried a number of other dog trainers without success & were feeling a little overwhelmed when they were recommended by an acquaintance with a German Shepherd to make contact with me.
I advised & demonstrated on each point & a training plan was put in place.
The owners have been amazed by the change in behaviour and level of focus / recall.

Anyone that knows me will know that I am a sucker for a puppy & having recently bumped into & chatted with a young family on a couple of occasions with their new puppy, I was very surprised to receive this review

The owners of this little character requested help with his reactive behaviour within the home regarding people / animals passing the home & visitors to the home / front door.
I advised and demonstrated & an action plan was left in place.
The owners updated me today with his reduced reactivity & sometimes not even moving an ear !!

My thought of the day….

“It is easier to train a dog than it is to train the owner”.

While dogs can be taught new behaviours, the consistency and understanding of the owner are crucial for success. Effective training relies on the owners ability to communicate clearly, provide consistent reinforcement, and manage the dog’s environment to support the learning behaviours.
