Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming two gorgeous sister Sproodle puppies for their very first groom! 🩷🐶🩷

They were such brave little girls, taking everything in their stride as they got used to the sights, sounds, and feel of the grooming salon. Their first visit was all about creating a positive, gentle experience, with lots of cuddles, praise, and treats along the way. 💕

Starting grooming from a young age helps puppies build confidence and makes future appointments stress-free and enjoyable.

Didn't they do amazingly? We can't wait to watch these beautiful sisters grow and see them back for their next pamper session! ✂️🐾

🐶🕷️ Tick season is here – protect your pets! 🕷️🐱

As the weather stays warm and we're all spending more time outdoors, ticks are becoming much more active. These tiny parasites can attach to your pet during walks in long grass, woodlands, parks, and even some gardens.

Ticks can carry diseases and may cause irritation or infection, so it's important to:
✅ Check your pet thoroughly after every walk, paying close attention to their ears, neck, armpits, between the toes, and around the tail.
✅ Use a vet-recommended tick preventative.
✅ Remove ticks promptly and safely using a tick removal tool – avoid squeezing or twisting them with your fingers.

If you're unsure how to remove a tick, or if your pet becomes unwell after a tick bite, contact your veterinary practice for advice.

A few minutes spent checking your pet could help keep them happy, healthy, and tick-free this summer! 🐾💚

When should your puppy have their first groom? Meet adorable Tallulah, looking bright-eyed after her very first salon visit!

We recommend introducing puppies to grooming between 12-16 weeks of age, after their second set of vaccinations. This early exposure helps them get comfortable with the sounds, sensations, and surroundings of a grooming salon, making future appointments much smoother. It's not about a full haircut, but rather a gentle introduction to being handled, bathed, and dried.

Think of it as puppy pre-school for pampering! Establishing a positive routine now sets them up for a lifetime of happy grooms.
