And another epic day for the girls and their steeds!! 4 rounds and 4 double clears with 3 placings that we know of as we left the class still running!

Well done Taylor Thompson you gave Louis very encouraging experience rounds and rode with total consideration for the pony 👏

Vienna, omg what can I say…. What a turnaround in riding, from crying at the gate going in a few weeks ago to absolutely smashing your rounds, remembering courses, thinking about jump off turns now and at only 5 years of age. 🙌🫶

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the girls 🥹

Wow what a brilliant first day at SMP Events weekender show at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead. The riders and ponies were fantastic im so proud 😊

V & T first up in the 50cm and had an unfortunate error in course but jumped what they did do really well.

We put that behind us, warm donuts from nanny helped and she went into the 55cm class next. Slight wobble at the gate again as she is adjusting to not having mumager in the ring but she bloody smashed it! I could barely watch 🙈 she finished 11th out of 30 starters but I was just so pleased she got round!! 🙌

Then it was little Louis turn with Taylor Thompson on board. An unfortunate pole in the first class then DC and 2nd place in the next! Only his second show what a total dude! Not phased by a thing!

Well done Taylor and Vienna you both rode lovely rounds. 👏

Long, hot but brillant day and back for more tomorrow! As always a massive thank you to mum, I could not so this alone 🫶

Sad to see so many breeders and studs not being able to sustain the associated costs to breed British bred horses and are shutting shop! Rising costs, loss of land and buyers not able or wanting to pay the true value of youngstock all seem to be big factors.

Will this mean an increase in imported horses from Europe as their running costs are much less? Makes you wonder what the future holds for equestrian sport in this country with the cost of living, fuel cost and current hay prices! Let’s hope something gives soon🤷🏻‍♀️

Another good morning at Pyecombe Horse Shows and another crack at the 85 ami. Not clear this time but still super pleased with her attitude and willingness, we can work on the rest! Vienna had a better day too and actually finished her class today 🙈

Well we’re off to a good start this morning with me and Lola having a DC and 5th placing in our first BS round in the 85 ami. Super impressed with how she improves so quickly. A.B Equestrian John Popely sport horses I kept the rhythm 😂

Why is it the mares you don’t want to come in are easy and the ones you want to cover dont!! 🙄

Look at the height difference too hes only a yearling! 🙌
