Taylor'd Canine Helping restore balance and understanding between dogs and owners

10/04/2022

Now moved to West Sussex, and tentatively considering offering “introduction to horses” for dogs and their owners.

Would this sort of 1-2-1 training appeal to anyone?

Another happy, balanced dog/owner

Hi just want to say a huge thank you for your help on Sunday. It has made a massive difference. No more play fighting snapping or snarling. And I’m working with Órla to give up the bone and she is getting better every day. I’m so pleased. Thank you ❤️

So it has started, three owners called for help this week alone.

1. Dog born April but couldn't be picked up until July due to covid (16 week old when he arrived, recommendation is 8 weeks) now exhibiting agressive anxiety issues!
2. Spaniel who has started to be destructive as owners have returned to work.
3. Cockapoo that is barking and possessive

Please don't suffer in silence, get help as all the above can be changed and dogs rebalanced to be happier.

With this weekends changes and more people going back to work after the "lockdown" period, have you thought about how your dog will manage with being left alone, after months of having you around 24/7?

If this is something that you are worrying about, please feel free to contact me to discuss separation anxiety and how to help your furry friend.

Here is a shot of the wonderful Titan. His owner wanted help with unwanted barking, and general steps to lay down a good foundation for this lad.

I spent the first 2 hour session with this 14 week old German Shepherd pup observing how he approached new people. Born just before lockdown, this young dog would have missed out on socialising with various humans as the owners had to self isolate. His approach to strangers was fearful, he would run towards them, stop a few meters away, lower his tail and his bark a long bark (sign of fear). With such a young intelligent dog it didn't take long for us to teach him a better approach and show his owner how to correct the unwanted behaviour.

A great start...........................watch this space for the next episode in 6 weeks
