Once you've done this you will never forget how to do it and it will be second nature. It's not scary. I would say breath, don't panic just try to go into practical mode. While you are doing this for the dog, get someone to call the vet, get a car ready to take them . Its all about knowledge , if you know how to do this , you have the power to help your dog . Always put them on the right side. If for some reason you can't get them on their right side because of some sort of enviromental reason etc get creative!! Put your hand around the dog and create space to press or squeeze 15 compressions. Its about getting the heart started again. Get confident, get as much knowledge as possible, even do an animal cpr first aid course with the family. It will all help before a professional can do secondary care ###xx

Hi everyone. My name is Gem Im 45 and have Gems Pawsome Pet Services. My back ground has mostly been a caring role. From starting as a care assistant to serving in the Royal Navy as a Medic , young offenders, sales and much more but this job is the ultimate, who wouldn't want to work with fur babies...😍 .
We have relocated to Heanor area in Derbyshire. Very excited to be of service to all the cats, dogs and smaller animals you may have. I started my dog walking/ house sittting services a year ago in northamptonshire and it flew. Meeting some amazing animals and their families. I offer feeding of cats and dogs while you are out, working or on holiday. Having that peace of mind, knowing they are getting the care and love they need in their own home. Animals feel more secure and at ease in their own surroundings. Familiarity creates safety for them especially when you are away.
I offer transport to vets etc, trips to dog walking fields, dog massage and cat massage. Along with this I am confident with dogs, calm and always finding ways to do better for the dogs i care for.
Fully insured, Police checked (DBS) and First Aid trained. A meet with your animals and family first to see if we are a good fit and we go from there.
