Meet Kaja.

Some of you may remember her from a few years ago. Kai came to live with me as a young dog and fit beautifully into the pack. Unfortunately my friend had a run of loosing a few of his springers so he has been “borrowing” her to complete his picking up team. I was pregnant with Ned and it was the right thing for her to gain the experience she needed. Sadly he’s now not working his dogs as much so she’s home and home to stay! I’ve had her back a few months now and my hope was to have a litter later this year between her and chaos. Again another plan that hasn’t happened! I do have the option of using Rage or Fury but I’m wary that there’s quite a few GWP litters occurring this year. If you are interested in a Tollerholme GWP then drop me a message and I will weigh up my options. I know there’s a few of you waiting! We would of course be keeping a black boy 💔. For now I’m just enjoying having her home and can’t wait to get her back out in August. Again she’s a lovely easy pointer and a credit to her breeding.

After an unimaginably tough week Roes long awaited babies are here. I’m still very much on edge with them but it’s certainly a relief to see them all latched on with full little tummies. Roe has been an absolute dream throughout and blown my expectations out of the water. Roll on the fluff 😍

Today has absolutely shaken me to my core and the shock of loosing my best boy is unreal. How a fit healthy dog can be here and bouncing around like a loon one minute then gone in a heart beat is terrifying. Unfortunately Chaos passed this afternoon after a short fight with a ruptured mass on his spleen. There was not one sign he had it until this morning and within 6 hours he was gone. I’m still getting my head around it all. We gave it everything at the vets and really hoped after it was removed successfully he might make it but it was too much for him.

Chaos shaped Tollerholme and shaped me. I always thought it would be the Tollers that stood out for us but in fact he showed everyone I can train pointers and helped for our line grow from the start. He grew my business beyond belief as we now have people travelling across the country for help with their HPRS and helped me make friends with some of my hero’s. I’ll always be in debt to him. He gave me everything every day of his life. Everyone wanted a chaos and he helped changed peoples opinions of the breed. He was phenomenal on all game and eye wiped more dogs than I can count. He was the dream dog, he did it all with no questions asked. He took the load when I was pregnant, helped me win awards, babysat humans and puppies, he just didn’t have a bad bone in him, beating, picking up, peg dog, he lived for it all but his favourite place was by my side. Thank you my boy, it’s honestly never going to be the same without you. Chase those birds in the sky 💔
