Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how far this boy has come this year 🤩!

I am so lucky to have clients that understand the lengthy training process of minor breeds. Dogs that come back to me for top ups, experience in the field and the trust these owners have in me is something else. Residential training with us doesn’t just mean a quick few weeks, it means we become invested in that dogs progress throughout its life and future career. Lots of our training dogs come back year after year and really become part of our family.

Wynn is way ahead for his breed and age. He’s taken to the field like a duck to water. When I first met him I had “that feeling” about him and boy was I right. He’s sitting steady during drives, picking like some of my old pros and was really just ready for a job. Although he’s still a big puppy and he’s seen enough for now he’s had a great first year foundation with us. I just need my own clone of him now 😂

Today’s dog of the day went too… Roe! Probably the first time ever 😂. Due to my truck breaking down we ended up on a smaller shoot with a smaller team and ground that she absolutely loved! She was in her element!

When I left my job in animal nutrition everyone said “I was crazy”, “I could do that when I retire”, “you’ll never make any money”.

Truth is I now live my dream every day. There’s never any guarantee of tomorrow and certainly no guarantee the shooting industry will be here when I reach retirement age. I’ll never regret making the decision and yes I do make more money now 😉

Our homebred boy I waited a long time for!
I may be biased but he’s quite possibly one of the best looking blue roan cockers I’ve ever seen, with a temperament and working ability to match. Sometimes a breeding just works and this was definitely one of those matches! He’s going to be some stud dog soon! 🔥
