We’re pleased to announce that we are now stocking SylvaGrow compost with added John Innes. I’ve already opened a bag and I have to say it has a lovely texture. Looking forward to potting up some different plants to see how it compares with the Sylvagrow Multipurpose.

Today we have a few remaining tomato plants, French and African Marigolds, courgette plants, parsley, Bacopa, verbena and some mini yellow petunias, and a few perennials. Also in stock is plenty compost, grow bags, manure, bark, watering cans, Tomorite, seaweed fertiliser, pelleted chicken manure, container and basket feed, etc etc…

We have a pair of robins who make a point of flying into the shop at every opportunity. At this time of the year, they're feeding young, so we don't want to risk them getting locked in the building. I put live mealworms outside the shop in an attempt to put them off from coming inside. Seems like a pair of blackbirds have discovered the rich pickings. Just how many mealworms is it possible to stuff into a beak?!!!
