Huge congratulations to all the winners and the 2026 Stablemate by AGMA and races.

🔔 Victory in the 2026 AGMA Carlisle Bell went to Priapos, trained by Phillip Makin and ridden by Sam James.

🏆 The 2026 AGMA Cumberland Plate was claimed by Wine Dark Sea, trained by Harry Charlton and partnered by Lewis Edmunds.

Did you know that the first ran in 1599 and has remained a fixture of Cumbrian sporting life for over 400 years? Named after the historic silver bells awarded to the winning horse, the race traces its origins to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.

One of the bells was gifted by Lady Dacre and bears an ancient, historic inscription:
📜
"The sweftes horse thes bel to tak for mi lade Daker sake"
(The swiftest horse this bell to take for my lady Dacre's sake.)

The original bells, believed to be among the oldest sporting trophies still in existence, are preserved in , while the race continues to be contested each June at the Carlisle Racecourse.

❗The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) and Equine Infectious Disease Surveillance (EIDS) have issued an urgent update regarding a sharp spike in Equine Influenza (flu) cases across the UK. 🐎

Stablemate by AGMA's Dis-in-fect is DEFRA approved for general orders at a dilution rate of 1 Dis-in-fect tablet to 1,699 ml of water, or 3 tablets in 5,097 ml.

Important considerations for effectiveness:

✔️Clean Before Disinfecting: Disinfectants are inactivated by organic matter, so surfaces must be washed with detergent and water before applying Dis-in-fect.
✔️Contact Time: The disinfectant must remain wet on the surface for the specified validated contact time.
✔️Equine Influenza: An enveloped virus that is destroyed on surfaces by sunlight, heat and disinfectants.
