A first for us this evening, dus to the heat on Monday, and in the best interests of our dogs, Kate Hayes classes were rescheduled to this evening. We joined Sophie Elizabeth Gibson classes and ran 2 separate TD rally courses in our outside training area.
Level 2's worked alongside level 5's and all were amazing.
I make no apologies for the number of photos .... as instructors we got a little carried away as we were very proud.

A little bit of body conditioning and some exercises to help with KC and APDT awards in today's classes.

Turn Stressful Walks into Tail-Wagging Adventures!

Let’s face it—walking your dog should be one of the best parts of your day. But if your dog pulls, lunges, or just doesn’t seem to “get it,” those walks can quickly turn into a daily battle. Sore arms, frayed nerves, and even scary moments like being dragged into the street are all too common.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

In our upcoming workshop, we’ll show you how to transform walk time into a calm, enjoyable experience for both you and your dog. You’ll learn how to build a real partnership on the lead—where your dog wants to walk with you, not just ahead of you.

With practical tips, hands-on guidance, and a supportive environment, you’ll leave with the skills and confidence to take control of your walks in a kind, effective way.

What to bring:
🐾 A non-flexible lead (no extendable leads, please)
🐾 Plenty of your dog’s favorite treats

Let’s make walks something you both look forward to!

This young lady is normally beside herself with excitement when she comes to Lincs Dog Training for her levels class. She also has some 1:1s where she's learnt some tricks and has a nice little routine. As she's currently recovering from an injury and having to take life a little steadier (not in her vocabulary) we did some scent work with her today. All I can say is Wow!!! I have never seen a dog have a light bulb moment like she did. After several "chins" on the scent tin and discrimination tubs, she stood back looked at the tubs, practically pounced over the blank tub and plonked her nose on the tub with kong in. There was then no stopping her. After doing the wall perfectly, as I was chatting to her hooomans, she was off in search of more kong, which she found and so was showered with lots more sausage!!
Go Rosie.

This little fella is going to be staying with Liz Geddes for a week next week. Hopefully one day he'll be someone's assistance dog. I have a request from Liz, if anyone has a puppy pushchair she could borrow for a week, she would be extremely grateful.
Thank you in anticipation 🐾

I thought I'd share a few videos from my scent club this evening. The first 3 are of Justine (head of SWUK) demonstrating the scent wall with the distractions of kibble in one pot, salmon treats in another and rabbit ears in a third. The other pots are blank and there is just one pot with the target odour of kong in.
This is the first time my boys Kal and Bodie have done a search with distraction odours. Some great learning tonight which those of you in Lincs Dog Training Scent Club will hopefully also put to use. (The vids of me go black for a short while, this is just when the phone was put down to move the target odour, stick with it and you'll see the rest of the search)
If anyone is interested in scentwork and you haven't as yet got your name down for the workshops, drop me a message / email to: [email protected]
