Another brilliant session with Poppy and mum this morning.
We started with some mental stimulation and play with hands as Poppy is still wary of people’s hands moving close to her. She was amazing.
Next we went for a walk to do the necessaries (💩) and see who/what we could find in the village.
We saw people, cars and a dog barking from a window and Poppy was fantastic with everything.
She was a little unsure sure when we stopped to talk to a man. This could only be identified by her tail position so we moved on.
We finished with some more hand games.

Poppy did brilliantly this morning.

Inside we played some games to stimulate her mind and get her used to hands.

It’s been a couple of weeks since I last saw Poppy as she was spayed.
I met Poppy and her mum this morning and we all went for a lovely walk.
Today we worked on road etiquette, having Poppy sit before crossing roads and only moving on when her mum told her to.
I forgot to take photos, so here’s a couple her mum sent me over the last 2 weeks, one including Poppy sporting a very on trend pink post-op onesie 🥹

Day 13 and my last day of walking Cookie.
She waited for me to arrive before she would eat her breakfast, so we had a relaxed sniffy stroll so she wouldn’t have a sore tummy.
She kept her biggest smile for her last day and she’s so dainty when she does ‘paw’ 🥰🥰

Straight after seeing Poppy, I went to take Cookie out for her walk.
She’s an amazing girl and this morning was brilliant at looking away from dogs and people instead of giving them her Cookie stare 👀
As soon as she saw a dog or person, she looked at them for a second then looked straight at me. Lots of praise was given.
She did go home though with a bit of a green tinge from rolling in the grass 🤦‍♀️😂

A busy morning for me today, up and out just after 5am. Then went to see Poppy and Cookie.
Poppy first….
Poppy and Mum are both doing brilliantly!
Poppy was much more relaxed with me being in her home 🤗 Getting her used to different people is important for the role she will have as a support dog. She will be amazing in her job.

A long Good Friday walk with Cookie this morning.
She’s now automatically sitting when I stop walking 🤗
Lots of dogs out for their Easter walks plus the bin men with their very squeaky lorry. Cookie was brilliant and we even stopped to talk to a lady with 2 Pomskies 🥰
