Has your cute little puppy become a stroppy teenager? Are you wandering what has happened and how you can get your best (canine) pal back?
It's a life stage that all puppies go through - some will find it easier than others but some will struggle.
Our Junior Improver course will help your pup - and you - deal with the developmental changes they're going through. The next 6-session course starts on Saturday 9thay, 11.45am-12.45pm.

This course focuses on the important foundation exercises, and progresses them. Learning impulse control is important, as well as listening and focussing when needed. Recall (coming back when called) will probably need some work too. There will be the opportunity to learn new things, try different activities, and rekindle that relationship based on trust and having fun together.

Have you welcomed a new puppy into your family? Are you and your pup struggling? You're not alone - we can help get you all back on track. Join us in Sedgebrook NG32 2EY for one of our puppy courses.

Each course is run over six weekly sessions, lasting one hour, in small groups of a maximum of five; we have secure indoor and outdoor space.

Start your puppy off on the right paw with training foundations such as walking on a loose lead, coming back when called, learning to settle calmly, how to focus and lots more. You will learn valuable skills to help your pup become the dog you want, including how to 'Speak Dog' and deal with those puppy challenges such as nipping, toilet training and using a safe place such as a crate or pen. You'll also learn how to socialise your pup (it's not just about other dogs!) as well as meet and train alongside other new puppy owners - and have fun!

If your older pup is now testing boundaries and being a stroppy teenager, the Junior Improver course is for you! The course will build on the foundations and introduce more fun and useful exercises and games, as well as helping your pup to develop impulse control and focus around distractions.

New for 2026 is the Fun & Focus course. Aimed at any dog that has completed foundation training, this course incorporates learning with fun but without the formality of working towards an assessment or award.

Have you got a new puppy? Are you struggling with the challenges that a young puppy brings and wondering where you start with teaching your new arrival to be a well behaved and happy family member?

We can help! Our 6-week puppy foundation course will get you all off on the right foot, or paw ... We will help you with the basic cues including sit, down, stay, leave, drop, settle, walking nicely on a lead and coming back when called - building solid foundations that will last. The course will also show you how to get (and keep) your pup's focus, and deal with crate training, nipping/biting, socialisation, exercise and much more.

Saturday Workshops in October:
1.30-2.30pm, £20 per session

4th - Come when called; the most important thing you can teach your dog

11th - Walk nicely on the lead; the most difficult thing to learn, for you and your dog

18th - Focus and fun; working with distractions

25th - Scent Detection; a great way to engage your dog's brain and their nose, and have fun at the same time
