π© WARNING annoyed groomer postπ©
Of late I'm alittle overwhelmed by the amount of π© butt's I'm getting walk in my groom room! Now you may see this as part of a groomers job. Well let me tell you it's NOT. I personally never go to my hairdressers, beautician or chiropodist with π© on my butt. (Yes this may sound amusing but it's not) obviously a dog can π© on way to the groomers and may need a little clean up, I'm not talking fresh π© I'm talking dried on, days/weeks old π©.
Let me explain how a groomer has to clean a dirty butt like this as it can't be shaved- not only would this damage and block the clipper blades it would also create your dog to have an irritated sore butt which could cause an infection and of course that would create a vet visit vet bill and a complaint to the groomer.
It could be scissored away, again, this is also risky as no groomer wants to snip the dogs re**um with scissors when the π© is dried on tight to the skin, same applies with a comb, a comb could also damage the dogs re**um.
So what's the alternative?
Washing the π© away works. Soaking & shampooing the π© and while doing so a groomer gently pulls the π© off with her Finger nails (attractive huh) this is truly not something any groomer relishes, now us groomers all know sometimes it can't be helped, that's life but serial offenders have to be aware why I'm having a rant/moan call it what you like as on the flip side of my rant/moan this same π©π©π©butt pooches are around children, babies, on people's beds and sofas π€’ which is grim tbh.
As of 1st May I will be implementing a π© Butt fee, an addition of Β£5 will be added to the groom for this service. I'm hope once people read this post they will have a Little more thought & respect for not just me but for all groomers. π©π
