New Moon Rehab & Track livery Track livery and rehab for horses

25/08/2026

From cheeky little ponies to busy days in the barn hiding from the flys, we had a couple of new arrivals in the last few months, all
Settling into track life well, one of newbies it transitioning from shoes to barefoot, Felix has removed the compaction and overgrown bar but the hoof wall is very thin so she is in boots until the wall grows and the foot can function correctly.

We also have 2 lovely ponies here on holiday livery for a few weeks, they are in the quarantine area as we do not like to upset the herd by introducing ponies if they are only going to be temporary.

And one of our long standing horses here is going to be leaving next month to go on sale’s livery, we really hope he can find a lovely home soon 🏠 🩵

Last weekend at Olivia Towers Dressage with Olivia Faith and Guy 🙌

It was a long drive up to Hereford for both Phoenix and me and Kadie, we had numb bums 😂 Pheonix didn’t have a friend this time but he was so good travelling a total of 5 hours across both days

The days got changed around so it meant my ridden lesson was on the Sat and groundwork on the Sun, I tacked Pheonix up but when I got on the mounting block he was not happy about me getting on so we untacked and did a bodywork/ groundwork session instead, really focusing on the serratus lift which he found very hard, I want every experience to be a good one where he feels relaxed and not under pressure where he is now learning to be ridden when his body is in function.

I was lucky Guy had a space and offered to do me a ridden lesson later that day, I’m so grateful as I really wanted to start the ridden work now I have worked so hard on the ground to get him stronger in his body and in function.

On the Sunday we had another BW/ GW session and really got the lift, I’m starting to feel much more confident with the bodywork now and really impressed with Pheonix and how much he has changed 💪

massive thank you to both Olivia’s and guy, they work so hard to help horses, they work really long days on these clinics.

next clinic for us with Olivia and Guy is end of next month and only 45 mins away 😊 can’t wait

I have my phone back 💪🐎 just waiting for all my messages to be restored and hopefully haven’t lost any but if you have message me and not had a response please send it again later today 😊

Yesterday I did some Biotensegral with Hally after my 2nd Clinic last weekend it really helped me understand more about the cerval spine, because Hally was on 3 legs for some time he would have been balancing with his neck, his neck was in tension so I spent some time releasing with my vibrating tool 🤣 (if you know you know) before really asking him to lift, he is standing much squarer and more evenly throughout his body and after the work was even better.

I’m so amazed at this horse 🐎, earlier in the year I was putting him to sleep, trying to fight the biggest battle of his life, an infected coffin joint, now we are in the arena asking his body to work in function, his foot still has a lot of healing to do, the heals are contracted because he wasn’t loading his foot at the back and he’s lost the front part of the hoof wall from the injury so we really need to keep on top of his heels and make sure they don’t creep up, balance is so important.

The more time that goes on the more I think I will ride Hally again, I know he would love that but no pressure, I’m happy he is living his best life on the track.

Looking forward to going to Olivia Towers with Pheonix Friday and Saturday for another clinic 💪

I have a bodywork/ Groundwork session with Olivia Faith on Friday, I can’t wait to have a check in to see how my homework has been going for the last 2 weeks 🙏

My first ridden session with Olivia Towers on Saturday 🐎 I haven’t ridden Nix for the last 6-7 weeks but I feel like he’s ready for that now 🙌
