As you all know we operate our animal ambulances 24 hrs a day. It does wind me up though when people phone up during early hours to see if we can come out and we say yes. After finding out the cost they say ok i will just talk to my mum/partner etc and call you back. So at 2.30am we are both sitting there now wide awake, waiting for the call back and they never have decency to call back to say they changed their mind. So we sit up for another hour or so waiting for call that never comes

Please if you call us and ask to book us but you need to talk to family please have the decency to call us back. Not only that if another call comes in that needs us and we say sorry we are just about to go out on call that means that client cannot get their pet to emergency vet.

Its rude, inconsiderate and very disrespectful especially when you say you are going to call back.

We work 24 hrs a day and try and fit sleep in when we can. Manners do not cost anything but so many people just cannot be bothered. This happens so often and i estimate 3 out of 5 dont bother to call back. Please bear in mind we are not large business that has staff working shifts. It is just me and Andy Adsett that operate our ambulances at the moment.

Its not just clients either some vet staff do not call us back either.

Was very shocked and upset yesterday. Im not going to name the practice. I took client and her little cat to be PTS and we went through with vet. I had not noticed that there was only one injection. The vet injected the cat and immediately the cat started to fight the heart stopping med. This in my book is unacceptable and is painful and stressful for cat in her last moments. Also upsetting for owner.

Why? More profitable for the vet as keeping their costs down.

You pet should be sedated before hand. Demand that your pet be sedated if only one injection is seen.

Sadly this weekend 1 of our jobs was a poor dog that had passed away and had to transport it to the vets 🌈

We desperately need a mechanic that will maintain our fleet of pet ambulances that you can provide a very reasonably priced service for us as we do a lot of work where we do not make profit to enable people with pets that are on benefits can still get their pets to a vet.
