My first customer as a newly qualified Canine Hydrotherapist (11th August 2014) Barney King, better know as Barney Boy had his last swim with me on the 3rd March this year. He (just as I’m planning 😋) retired from Hydro 2 weeks ago to potter in the garden and take life easy.
Barneys owner Jerry let me practice my new skills on Barney , for which I’m ever grateful 🙏 He also arranged Barneys 5th birthday here at Summerhill , where we held a Pool party for him and his friends. Jerry officially opened my Dog shower & Therapy room too . Enjoy retirement Barney, I shall our swims together 💙

You may be wondering why this business has changed its name 🤔

You will be used to seeing videos and comments about the wonderful canine customers who have spent time improving and repairing their joints and muscles in our Hydrotherapy pool :)

The Owner (me, Sue) is semi retiring and reducing my working hours and will be concentrating my time and energy into the Laser side of the business.

The Hydrotherapy pool has been running for 11 years and will be closing in a few months time. I am continuing to offer this service to all existing clients for the remaining months and will be assisting them in finding suitable Hydrotherapy pools.

The Laser operation will continue and can be carried out on site here, or in your home. For further information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Bell Leisure have done a fabulous job! New lights , grouting and new filter fitted. Thanks to all my customers for their patience …now we need to refill pool, add chemicals to correct balance and heat it up 😊

Did you know that the tiny vertical groove between a dog’s nose and upper lip actually has a purpose? It’s called the vegetal groove (or philtrum), and it’s not there by accident!
Each time a dog licks its lips, a bit of saliva collects in that groove. Through a process called capillarization, the moisture travels up to the nose — helping keep it damp.
And why does that matter? Because a moist nose is much better at capturing and holding scents from the air. That’s part of what makes a dog’s sense of smell so incredibly powerful!
