Good afternoon, everyone - happy Bank Holiday Monday ! 😄
We've updated our website a little bit - we've added our newest team member, Karen, on the About Us page; given some additional detail on making availability enquiries or requesting a booking; and added new content to clarify our drop-off and pickup times in the FAQs. We hope it will help keep everything as straightforward for you as possible with these inclusions.
Enjoy the rest of your day !

So our last dog has arrived and settled in, and we are now on our Christmas break, re-opening on 27th December at our usual time. I will also be taking a break from emails, WhatsApps, etc, but please don't panic - it is only temporary ! It doesn't seem five minutes since I was last wishing all of you a Merry Christmas but here we are again. To all of our family members, four legged and two legged, our suppliers, supporters and interested parties, thank you for being with us through this amazing year, enjoy the festive season and we will look forward to seeing you all again soon !

18/11/2024

Good afternoon everyone. We have had some Christmas dates become available this morning. Drop-off on 22nd Dec and collect on 27th Dec. Please do get in touch on 07471 757117 if these dates are of interest. Proof of current vaccinations and receipt of a deposit will be required to secure the booking. 11/11/2024

We have had a cancellation today for 19th Dec to 27th Dec if that helps solve a problem for someone over Christmas. There are some days available beforehand but nothing after 28th, so collection by 4.30pm latest on 28th will be required.
As always, all bookings will only be confirmed with proof of current vaccinations and receipt of a non-refundable 25% deposit.
Have a lovely week 😊

Following an unfortunate occasion this morning of having to turn away a customer because the kennel cough vaccine had been administered too close to their booked arrival date, I thought it would be helpful to clarify our policy on the kennel cough vaccine.

We do not insist on the KC vacc being given as it doesn't cover all the strains so a dog can be vaccinated for it but still contract the virus. However, we would always recommend that it is given as part of the vaccination regime to ensure your dog has the greatest level of protection available whilst they stay in a confined environment.

With this in mind, as the KC vacc is a live vaccine and is most effectively carried through the air, we insist on a 3-week waiting period between the administration of the vaccine and ANY visit to us. This provides the highest level of protection we can offer to all our guests to ensure we don't put anyone at risk of contracting the virus from a recently vaccinated (or infected) dog.

This post has been checked for accuracy by our vets, so if your vet should say something a little different, please bear in mind that this is the policy that we use at Moss Croft and we do not make exceptions. If you are in any doubt about whether to give the vaccine, or the time frame you need to allow, please get in touch with us first so we can avoid any disappointment at the start of your holiday, most especially if you are still in the car park !

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope it helps to dispel any confusion 😊

Afternoon all. I'm reaching out to a new customer of ours, Ms Parkinson, who requested 3 kennels 19th to 24th June 2025 to ask her to get in touch please on 07471 757117. It's regarding this booking and we need some further details to be able to progress it and confirm the space. Please do get in touch at your earliest convenience! Many thanks 😊

Afternoon everyone. I have a whole lot of strimming that needs doing as I start the winter preparations on the property. This will need a petrol strimmer (or two!) as some of the paddock grasses are quite tough. Predominantly along fencelines, on the perimeters of our exercise areas (both inside and outside), to prevent damage to the fences and baseboards and to tidy up our customer accessible areas . Any interested parties, please get in touch to arrange to view the work. No time wasters please ! Have a great weekend 😀

Well, Hello !!

Welcome to the Moss Croft Country Kennels page! We have created a custom designed, purpose built, 7-kennel facility just north of Ellon in Aberdeenshire.

The kennels are large, bright, and airy, giving our guests plenty of room to move around, enjoy changes of texture, temperature and light. From the cosy sleep areas, to the covered outside runs, complete with their own gardens, we’re sure our guests will enjoy the calm and peaceful atmosphere of this little corner of rural Aberdeenshire.

As the build progressed, we posted regular updates on our progress, tracing the process of construction - from clearing the site to the exciting day of accepting our first guests.

Thank you to those of you who joined us on this journey. Please like our page and let your four-legged furry friends know there’s a special place which has been created just for them. Holidays will take on a new meaning - for them .... and for you !
