A big congratulations to eleven-year-old Benji, our Golden Pet of the Month!

Owner Charlotte says that Benji has always acted like a little old man even as a pup. She said, “Benji is literally an old man; he loves to sleep, a slow country walk and a cuddle. He’s my soul dog!”

Benji earned his Golden Pet crown after Charlotte entered our competition via an email we sent at the start of his birthday month. If your cat or dog is over seven and has a birthday coming up, they could win a Pets at Home goody bag and be our next Golden Pet of the Month too! Say hello to little Bear in his big Bertie bear bed from Pets at Home Liverpool Edge Lane. 🐻

Eleven-week-old Bear has only been home a couple of weeks, but owner Jennifer says he’s already taken over their home and their hearts. She said, “As soon as I saw the bed on Pets UK’s Instagram, I knew he needed to have it. I love everything bear themed for him. It’s a lovely bed, so cosy and soft; he loves curling up in a ball inside of it and getting snuggled right in.”

‘Lovable goofball’ Buck needed a little lie down after all the excitement of shopping at Pets at Home Norwich.

Five-month-old Buck visited our pet care centre with owner Libby to pick up a new food bowl. After helping choose some new toys from his favourite spot - dog toy aisle - Buck decided he needed a rest while his owners browsed for rabbit supplies.

Libby said, “Buck is a very loving goofball. Once we’d picked up all of his bits, he lay down whilst we were trying to buy some stuff for our rabbit – clearly not too pleased about leaving his favourite aisle! Buck absolutely loves a trip to Pets at Home. As soon as the doors open, there’s no stopping him from exploring the shop.”

Before joining the team at Vets for Pets Falmouth Vet Trish spent years rescuing marine mammals and sea turtles around the world, but the pull of the Falmouth community was too strong to resist.

Trish spent seven years working in Spain, Mexico, and the Galápagos Islands, caring for sea creatures as a marine mammal vet and rescue diver. Now, she’s swapped wetsuits for wellies and is loving life helping the pets of Cornwall.

Trish said, “Since the age of eight, I’ve wanted to be an advocate for those who don’t have a voice. That’s what led me to train as a marine mammal vet and rescue diver. I always thought I’d be a perpetual traveller, but after a few stints at Vets for Pets Falmouth, I couldn’t stop thinking about Cornwall. It feels so wild and peaceful—and the community is just lovely. It’s really special.”

Billy has been learning all about responsible pet ownership at Pets at Home 🐾

Mum Katy booked four-year-old Billy into a My Pet Pals workshops at our Cortonwood pet care centre as a free summer activity. These fun workshops explore the five animal welfare needs, helping kids learn how to care for a variety of pets, dive into exciting activities, and meet our store pets.

Katy, who shares her family adventures as on Instagram, said: “I wasn't sure if Billy would be too young for it but the lady who worked with it engaged with him really well. He said he liked meeting the guinea pigs and feeding the fish. He even wanted to name the guinea pig Billy!

Owner Mercedes says that it was “love at first bite” for nine-week-old Millie and her new best friend, Bertie Bear.

During last week’s heatwave, Mercedes popped into Pets at Home Hedge to pick up a puppy pool and cooling mat when she spotted the Bertie Bear flattie. Since bringing him home, he has blossomed into Millie’s favourite companion.

Mercedes said, “We just knew that we had to have Bertie! When we brought him home, Millie’s tail was wagging and it was love at first bite. She sinks her teeth into his soft bear face and gets so excited by the little squeak. Then she playfully shakes the crinkly part and proudly runs around the living room with him. She even takes him in the car with her and snuggles her face into him. They’re the best of friends.”

Parent’s are loving the free My Pet Pals workshops at Pets at Home this summer!

Mum Samantha, who shares her parenting tips as on Instagram, brought her son Harrison to a workshop and said he loved feeding the fish.

Meanwhile, six-year-old Luna visited our Washington pet care centre with mum Emma, who posted on : “The Pets at Home advisor we had was so lovely, it was a small group but she was so lovely with the kids explained a lot and was really friendly. We learned all about guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, bugs & fish. Totally recommend it. We have done it a few times now and it’s really worth it!”

As some of you may know, Pets at home Corstorphine have teamed up with us as their chosen charity for this year. This is an amazing opportunity for us. We receive lots of generous donations from pets at home such as food, toys, leads and lots more! We will also have a few store event days throughout the year.

Our first event is tomorrow 18th February from 12-4. We will have 2 special guests, Walter and Oliver, who are looking for their forever home. We will also have info about the rescue and how you can get involved, handmade items and dog treats for sale.

We would love it if you could pop in and say hello. Hope to see you there 😊.

We are just as excited to announce our new partnership with a local charity this year! 🐾 We are looking forward to working closely with such an amazing rescue - look out for Julie and her team in store! 🐶🥳

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Community Partnership with the Pets at Home Corstorphine store for the coming year.

We are so grateful for the support from Pets at Home. Our recent grant from the Pets Foundation has been brilliant in alleviating the cost of vet bills, and now the community partnership will help us to raise awareness and build relationships with the staff and customers through our in store visits.

Through this partnership Any Dog'il Do Rescue has the exclusive ability to go into store throughout the year to fundraise and raise awareness of the work we do. Community Partners are also invited to take part in the annual fundraising events to raise much needed funds.

We are looking forward to meeting the staff and customers of Pets at home Corstorphine and Groom Room
