Leon & Oscy’s park adventures!
It was definitely a cancel walkies kinda heat, but I only had two so I felt I could keep a close enough eye on them so they’d stay safe in the heat!
- We kept to the shade ✅
- stayed well hydrated (we stopped 6 times for a drink)
- limited to no play - Leon wasn’t happy with this rule today, so he stole my fleece lead and used this as his toy…. and played by himself 😅🤪
Both such good boys - even if one is the wackiest soul I’ve ever met! 😂🥰

Stifling isn’t even the word for the heat today 🥵. I only got a few snaps as I was focusing on keeping everyone cool, hydrated and hosed down (well the ones who accept being hosed that is! 💦🐶)
Coco & Luna’s mama tagged along to come see the madness that is Rompers! Luckily everyone was too hot to bomb around, so they were just taking it easy ✌🏻. And Mirren’s mum brought our M&S snacks and hung around with us also - was glad of the both of them staying as it wasn’t as stressful monitoring them all! 🙌🏻 Great Team!
Lots and lots of pool action, from everyone, going on!! 🌊🐶 but sadly our pool has died a death ☠️ so a new one is on order!!! 🙌🏻

Whoop! Well done Manda Red Collar Retreat Enrichment Centre & Doggy Daycare for smashing through these courses and loving every minute! 🙌🏻. I’m so happy to have another ethical dog trainer in my life who just understands, respects and loves dogs the way I do! I’m so happy to see folk choosing positive methods over “balanced” or “dominance” (aka abusive if you like) it makes my heart so happy!

CONGRATULATIONS Manda, you’re making a huge & positive difference within the dog world! 🙌🏻 go gal!!!

Absolutely delighted to get my results tonight and to have passed my Unit 2 IMDT Understanding and Working with Canine Behaviour as I work towards my behaviourist qualification!

Just buzzing to move on to the next unit! Let the studying commence for the next module! Big thanks to the man Zorro who has been my wingman along the way!♥️

You couldn’t get a more opposite pair of dogs! 😂. But they get on fabulous on walkies (they don’t pay each other a blind bit of attention! 😃)

Our darling boy Coopy has been a bit under the weather recently, so we’ve pulled him from my group walks as he just wasn’t enjoying himself. So I pick him up for my own boys morning walk around the farm 🥰
Safe to say they were both DELIGHTED with the change: no more very early morning walks for Oren & no more group walks for Coopy! Just each other and all the farm scents 🐽
I’ve never seen them both happier! They actually adore the bones of each other 🥹😍
Although, there was one problem…..Coopy never wanted to leave! He went in my house and lay down with Oren 🤣🥰 last photo is me telling him he can stay but I reckon his mama would miss him every second he was away! 🥰

Wee wander down the River Ericht since we were over that way 🥰
Oren can’t go many miles anymore with his wee old man peg legs! So we just had a nice slow wander/sniffathon down the river and back! He still loves the great outdoors and I’ll continue to take him on new, small, adventures, until he tells me no more! 😍
Hopefully his pain killers make a difference to him 🤞🏻
Teto was as adventurous as ever 😍! He loves a good flat river for stone chasing & creeping!

My old man was at his new vets this morning 😎
We changed vet because of the ordeal we had to go through with Blackness & VetsNow, when Oren was very ill with pancreatitis! I’ve NEVER in my life heard of any other vet within a city expecting owners to pick up their critically ill dog in the morning then having to transport them to their own vet again, and then back again at night - I honestly couldn’t believe it! In my opinion, this should be changed straight away as it’s not in the best interest of the sick animal or indeed the owners, at all!!
Vetsnow provided terrible customer service, where CLEARLY getting the vet fees was their first priority! They didn’t take things slow with Oren’s sensitivities, instead describing his lack of confidence on shiny surfaces as his “girlie fits!” - wow 😤! Vets without understanding and compassion are in the wrong job!
Anyways, thanks to Thrums Vets Blairgowrie for caring and looking after all my boys needs - even his sensitivities! 🥰. Refreshing to find vets & staff who still truly care 🥰💓. They sorted him out with new pain killers for his arthritis! 🦴

I was thinking “why aren’t there more bichons around?” all along our walk today!! They’re such a good all rounder, truly the most perfect little breed 💓🐑!
I love Oscar with all my heart, he’s such a good boy! Been strolling the lands together for 11 years. We never tire of each others company 🥰

💜 ROMPIN’ ROVERS 💜
There was trouble in paradise today 🏝️👀 . Wee Mirren’s has been a little off recently; off her food a little; had less energy; more needy with mama.
Today she had a little spat with Loopy (Luna 🤣🤪), nothing serious but lots of teeth and noise, but I had to do a bit of refereeing! 👀✋
Not usual at all. But every change in behaviour has a reason behind it. First thing is always to rule out pain - a vet check is advisable.
They’re quite rough players but in a totally different way, so it could also just have been a miscommunication, or too rough of a mouth grab (terriers have little, but strong, snappy jaws - perfect for what they were bred to do: killing rats on farms 😬🐭⚰️). We’ll see how we go next week 🥰.
That was 5 seconds of an hour and a half though! 🙌🏻💃🏻 - we dipped in the pools, chased butterflies, learned some recall, twirls & drops, snuffled around in the Snuffle Pit for the yummy treats Mirren’s mum kindly buys use every week from M&S (posh dogs or what!!? 😂🥰), rolled around in the sand pit and just having loadsa fun being dogs!! 🥰
